A nice little local bar/restaurant. We stopped here to grab a bite to eat. My gf had Maryland crab soup which she said was really good. Then she had the crabby fries, which were also really good. I had the big jims burger with added bacon and homemade chips. The burger and chips were good. My only complaint is that I had char on my burger and could taste the grill in a couple spots(which was gross and unappetizing) I give my visit provably a 4.5 because everything else but the char on my burger was delicious. Service was good, our server was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here in the future. Maybe put in a please seat yourself sign for future customers at the door, we weren't sure what to do once we walked in the restaurant side

I really enjoy going to Jim's. Inviting spot with a laid back vibe. Has TVs, pool tables, lottery machines and a bar. I also love that they have games throughout the week like Bingo Thursday with prizes. Best cream of crab soup in town. Just be aware, if you're going you'll probably be there for awhile. Not the fastest service but the people are friendly.

Food was good service was great. The dining area is not open so we had to sit on the bar area. There are tables there but not many.
I did not have high hopes for this place, but we wanted to grab a quick bite for dinner time. The scene is definitely bar scene and very loud, live entertainment. We sat in the back room away from that. I ended up ordering a dozen oysters with a Cesar salad. The Cesar salad came with dressing on the side, the salad dressing was super vinegary. I just kept tasting pure vinegar. I did not finish it. The oysters were super grainy. They had broken shells in them. I had to be very careful with eating them. I normally slurp my oysters with no problem. These I had to carefully inspected before ingestion. The service was expected to be slow since it is a bar. A lot of people drinking. Only a few people eating. Finally, I would not go back.

While not a fancy place, Big Jim’s is very clean & has a friendly & attentive staff. We went there to check it out on a Thursday, which happened to be their “wing night”. The wing prices were so good, we opted to get them instead of seafood. Let me tell you, the wings were big, crispy on the outside & tender on the inside & ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. They offer a nice selection of flavors & the sides were very good as well. Can’t wait to go back & try out their seafood!
