It was ok. Pricey and meals do not come with a drink. I tried the reaper and the extra hot and they are not that hot but I eat a lot of spicy food. I prefer Raising Canes. Dave’s Hot Chicken I could take it or leave it.

So this was my first visit to Dave's Hot Chicken. My wife and I came here since we were on the west side of York. So, my rating is probably not that accurate/screwed slightly and I'll tell you why. I should have asked what "Hot" meant. Normally at other places, hot doesn't mean, very hot. My wife got the mild and I got the hot. The hot burned my tongue and lips so I should've asked. My wife said hers was a little spicy but good. The service was great. I would probably come back and get a less spicy selection. Thank God, I got the vanilla milkshake, which was very good.

Fun to look at from the outside. It does draw you in. But, bring your chapstick folks! This place is SALTY! Sure the tenders are huge...but it's quite literally the same tenders that you get from Walmart, bland, and then coated in a thick layer of MSG and sugar. My entire family wasn't impressed with any of it.

Daves hot chicken is the best this is my second time here and I am impressed with how consistent they are with the food and consistency is key. I will say the hot is really spicy I would go if I were the average customer get between mild and hot to enjoy your meal.

The chicken sandwich debate has been put to bed as far as I'm concerned. It's rare that I give praise to a chain restaurant, but this place surprised me. The sliders were delicious, best fastfood chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Believe the hype.
This restaurant was DISGUSTING. there was way too much seasoning on the chicken, it was also very, very dry. for $14 you would think you get a drink right? incorrect, you pay for drinks apart. I do not recommend at all.

Saw positive reviews and stopped in for lunch. Waited a full 5 minutes before someone took my order for 2 tenders-got 2 soggy sliders. Everything was soaked. Chicken coating is fried breadcrumbs that fall off, nothing special about the fries.

Decided to give Dave's hot chicken another try on the whim since I was in the area and really glad I did. I ordered a number 1 which I believe included 2 strips, but when I got home I was pleasantly surprised to find an extra. The size of the strips were also much larger than my original experience. This time I went around dinner time as opposed to near closing time before, so perhaps better to go earlier. I ordered the hot and was also pleasantly surprised this time. Last order I did not have flavor, this time I felt the heat in my throat and reached for my drink. Glad to see the improvement.
