The lunch lady 2020
I hired Festive Board for my wedding and picked brisket as one of the options. They served us sliced top round. It was embarrassing because I was a chef for 15 years and alot of my restaurant friends attended. I wanted them to have a night were they were taken care of for a change. Everyone knew it was sliced top round. I've braised 100s of briskets. I have roasted 100s of top rounds to slice. I've done alot of weddings myself. I didnt want to spoil the night by making a big deal and getting pissed off on my wedding night if they tried to deny it.

My daughter cancelled wedding. I requested refund which I had paid in full without contract. They have literally ghosted me. All attempts to contact them have been met with crickets!!! I don’t feel a refund which was paid in full almost a year in advance is asking too much.

Hired them for my wedding and was impressed by the food and service. So many guests approached me about how great the food was. I worked with Sheri who was a delight! She did everything to ensure that my groom and I had everything we needed at all times. It was like having your own personal assistant. Everyone on the team was professional and helpful. I loved the one stop shopping as they supplied all linens, china, dishes etc. they even helped set up decor. So happy that they were part of our special day.
I gotta say the theme for this seemed do the bare minimum to complete contract then get out, a lot of things went horribly wrong on my wedding day. My wife and I never got our food I had to find something to ask for it. It was cold all guests complained about the food. The coordinated that apparently had all these years experience did not show up prepared and the staff was far from professional. To start no water I asked for a glass of water for my 80 plus year old grandmother and they refused me a few min before I walk down the isle I’m in the parking lot sending someone for water for my grandmother after giving these people thousands. There was water at the dinner tables which is didn't get to drink at all I did my first dance had to go find food for me and my wife got a few bites in. Get back to my table no water they took my water they cleared the water and had none available for the people drinking. The 2 servers were in the kitchen texting. And 2 of the other servers were literally outside getting high while my family were looking for service. My dj and photographer took over and started doing the catering job. To have this one day and to have the main person be so bad sucks can’t ever redo that day. My wife was so disappointed and we both where spending most of our time dealing with mess ups. Or trying to find staff. This is not full service catering like they say. I contacted them to tell them they wanted to sit down and talk it out, I like awhile away and work full time. I don’t want to talk it out. They didn’t seemed concerned at all after I told them staff where getting high on the job. The coordinator was rude multiple times. And the worse the owner could have just simple apologized. He honestly didn’t seem to care. I’m got so tired of them by the end of the night I sighed their paper early so they could leave they where literally useless. My best man cleaned up so I could head to my honey moon. Another note the guy getting high outside tried to hit on my wife 7 min after the ceremony and told her she was to beautiful to be getting married and shouldn’t be getting married. 100 percent waste of money Do not go here. I didn’t get a single thing I was promised or told they showed up put up table clothes messed up food service went outside got high or sat in the kitchen on their phones, if they had worked as hard to do their job as they did to leave maybe it would have been good. I also am reaching out to the place I got married to get them off the recommended list, and make sure they know who they are recommending. On my contract it says water service which we did not get. Also we wanted garlic butter green beans we got canned. The preparation was 100 percent not there. And last but not least they shut the bar down an hour earlier than I paid for. I paid for their service till midnight they were shutting stuff down and ready to go at 9:30. I could go on and on and on of every little detail of what they said compared to what I got, point is 100 percent if you want a stress free day and you want your wife to enjoy her day. And you want to spend time with her instead of cleaning up and doing the job of your coordinator and catering. Don’t go here. I wish I remembered the name of the coordinator she was so disrespectful and rude. And my advice for the business owner I read a lot of recent reviews and a lot of them that are bad seem really spot on. You need to take ownership of your staff and when your staff messes up a persons wedding day maybe you should show some sympathy it’s their wedding day I only get one I trusted you with that special day and you messed up. And if you would have owned up to it and apologized to my wife and been respectful about it I wouldn’t have even wrote this. But I will make sure all my friends family and all the djs and photographers and anyone I know never gets your service and I even gave you months to see if you would reach out with an apology and make it right.

We hired Festive Board from a recommendation from our venue. They were incredibly kind from day one. They text me prior to finalize plans and meals. They followed through on everything and even set up my decor on the tables. We had a bartender (you provide your own alcohol) who was fantastic as well. I highly recommend them and the day of coordinator I had was Debbie and she was lovely!

This is my first negative google review. I’m a very private person so I’m uncomfortable making a public review. However, I feel the need to warn others of this catering service, especially for their once in a lifetime wedding day. My husband and I got married in August of this year. We hired festive board as our caterer and paid them around $4000 for only 60 guests. The reason we agreed to that insane price was because we tested the food at a bridal event and we were promised AND contracted a FULL SERVICE catering. Festive board showed up the day of our wedding with staff that used drugs, sat on their phones, late for dinner, only offered guests one glass of water and refused refills, took away guests water before they drank it, refused to get my husbands grandmother a glass of water after the ceremony, food was cold, bland, old and dried out pasta sauce for our stuffed shells, canned green beans instead of garlic butter sauce green beans, coordinator disappeared shortly after dinner started, my husband had to search for a staff person twice to get him and myself dinner plates over 45 minutes after our guests were eating, him and I had a salad only the first hour of our reception and we were starving from not eating all day. staff were dressed unprofessionally and acted unprofessionally by hitting on my guests who are underage minors and also hit on me less than 10 minutes after my ceremony trying to grab my arm and hit on me. Our amazing DJ and photographer thankfully and graciously took over as coordinators to help save our wedding day! our so called catering coordinator approached us with the contract stating that if we did not sign it in the next 2 minutes we would be charged with our card on file because she was packing up and leaving after she had been MIA most of the reception. She wouldn’t even allow us a moment to look at the contract first. Then we realized the catering company was gone and did not fulfill their full service contract duties by cleaning up. My husband and I, my best friend and my brother stayed at the venue until 11:50 that night cleaning up. We reached out to Ed the owner of Festive board with our concerns and disappointments. No apology, no offer of resolution but he insisted on having an in person meeting with us and his staff. We agreed to the meeting even though we have very busy lives and his location is not local to us. He was rude and condescending in his responses to our concerns. It’s now months later and we STILL have not heard from festive board. A simple apology or expressed care for our wedding day being ruined would have made the difference in me avoiding bad reviews. Refusing to give an elderly woman water for hours on a 90 degree hot summer day is CRIMINAL!

We recently used festive board for our 60-person wedding reception. I felt the communication was good from the beginning, and was reaffirmed that we made the right choice at our “month-out” meeting with Chuck, he was fantastic. About a week before our event, Libby got in contact with me to provide her info and make sure we were good to go.The day came and it was pouring rain all day and night for our OUTDOOR wedding, it was muddy and cold and such a mess. Libby and her crew showed up with the most wonderful and positive attitude, they reassured me that it would be a great night. They helped set up and decorate, trying to make the best out of a cramped tent. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, he made sure our signature drinks were up to par before the event began. Guests arrived, cocktail hour went smoothly. We got plated salads and a dinner buffet, Libby continued her wonderful communication as far as dinner timing, letting people have seconds, making sure waters were filled. She made sure to take note of my two vegan guests so their meal would be ready when they got in line, they said it was super tasty which was a relief! As far as the regular buffet, I think everyone had all good things to say! Food was Tasty and warm, the servers were polite and efficient.When things were winding down, they made sure to ask me if it was ok to begin tearing down, I didn’t feel rushed. They took all trash and left my decorations nice and neat. We got a ton of leftovers!I truly feel that if this group had come in with a different attitude due to the weather, I would have been miserable. They were so grateful for my attempts to keep them comfortable despite the mess. My parents, who provided the backyard venue, were very impressed with their service, noting how the entire crew was friendly, down to earth, and easy to work with. Catering was our biggest expense, and I have no regrets for choosing festive board.
