I remember when this place was first opened -- it was Montego Bay. The place was definitely in the process of being worked on, and they served you your food in a to go box. That was when they were still good -- whatever they've got going on now; they've gotta stop while they're ahead and change everything to how it was. Immediately, the restaurant is SUPER fancy, which is fine, but it was completely empty. Not a soul was at the tables except me, my boyfriend, and our friend. We were sat down and given water, which was also fine. When looking at the menu, the prices were ABSURD. Some things I get, but last time I was here, it was actually affordable. I got the curry goat with plantains and rice with beans, my boyfriend got the barbecue jerk chicken with white rice and Mac and cheese, and my friend got pasta. My goat was okay, though the bones were still attached. My rice was tasteless and cold. The only somewhat good thing on my plate was the plantains. As for my boyfriend, his Mac and cheese was microwaved and cold in the middle, and his "jerk chicken" was grilled chicken with sweet baby rays hickory barbecue sauce. There was nothing Jamaican about this dish. My friend's pasta was fine. The atmosphere wasn't great. The music was very loud, but stopped midway through, and all we heard for around 10 minutes was multiple smoke alarms beeping. My boyfriend and I stopped after a couple bites and told the lady at the front that we weren't paying, and left. My friend did pay for his pasta. This has become a massive disappointment. It used to be such a great place to eat authentic Jamacian food, but they've sold out. Either up your food quality, or lower your prices significantly. We will not be coming back here.

You will have a hard time beating the jerk chicken (with yams, beans & rice, plantains) although my wife loves the coconut shrimp and my son loves the ox tail. BYOB and great value!

Tried for the first time and didn't know what to expect. Go inside the restaurant and it has a nice dining room. Ordered my food before getting there, so it was ready when I got there. The food was awesome! Flavorful! I definitely recommend.

This place has been open less than 2 years now, so the review with someone saying they've gone there for years is odd. It reminds me nothing of Jamaica as its dark, cafeteria style dining is highlighted with church music of all things. Nothing stands out as tropical or fun, there's no flare to it. No employees are out front...i left.

Love it here. They are so polite. Appetizers just melted in my mouth. It was the jerk wings. Then the entree was amazing. Like a ballroom on my tongue. I recommend it. 100% have to try.
I found this place doing a Google search and let me tell you. It was well worth it. I’ve ordered the snapper and tilapia escovitch, my first order the spice wasn’t to my liking, but my next three visits were definitely on point. I spoke with the order taker and asked him to please make it as if they were eating it, because I enjoyed the spice the place is very clean the order was taken properly. The food is cooked to order so expect a slight weight but it’s definitely well worth it. I have been back several times since my initial visit and will continue to do so the pricing is also fair so if you’re looking for some authentic Jamaican cuisine, please do not hesitate to stop by. Sorry I don’t have any pictures. The food is so good I haven’t had a chance to take one, but I shall do so.

The food here is amazing. This is not a fast food location. This is comfort food, so you will have a wait. But the wait is worth it.The atmosphere is very different from most Jamaican restaurants. The tables are set with glassware and silverware. This is the hidden gem of York, PA. If you are in the area, this location is a definite go-to.

Got the lunch special Jerk Chicken, good lord!! The flavors pop immediately. It was actually difficult to not open the takeout box and just start eating it. The smell of the food filled the car!Quick prepped and beautifully seasoned. Mac n Cheese was solid and the plantains were equally fantastic! Definitely recommend!

Stopped in this afternoon to get lunch to go. I got the jerk chicken lunch with rice and beans, cabbage and Mac n cheese. I was waited on promptly and kindly by a very nice young man at the counter, who was patient and knowledgeable about the food. When I got home I could not believe how large the portions were! And it was all incredible! Kudos to the chef, the management and the kind server who took care of me today ? I will definitely be back to try more of your amazing food and service!
