Had a bad experience a few years ago. Gave them another shot a few weeks ago, glad I did. Food and service are much better. Good specials. If you haven't been there in awhile, give it a try.

First time we have ever been to this restaurant and we plan on going back! Food was DELICIOUS! Our server was so sweet and friendly. Our table was weirdly sticky and she did everything she could to clean it. She ended up moving us to another table after finding out the varnish on the table sits in the sun causing the stickiness. Regardless, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Stop #2 on the York bar tour led us to Iron Horse York. Cool, modern yet comfortable atmosphere. We only enjoyed a cocktail here but will definitely stop by again for food. Misty was our bartender, and she rocked the Coconut Mojito and Woodford Old Fashioned we enjoyed. Since we were ahead of the crowd, we had a chance to chat with her about other nearby spots. We'll definitely be back the next we're in York. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

I went to this restaurant for the first time on Friday. While the atmosphere and food were good, the service left a lot to be desired. The hostess was outstanding upon our arrival and was prompt to get drink orders, but it went down hill after this. Our waitress did not come to the table until about 20 minutes after sitting down. It was early in the evening and there were minimal patrons in the restaurant. We were not told the specials for the day (which was something we would have ordered if it was known), and once we ordered, we did not see her again until food came out. The food for myself and my guest were brought out separately by about 5-10 minutes. We were checked up on once and did not have a chance to ask for refills. We attempted to make eye contact and flag the waitress down, but were ignored each time. Finally, a woman, who appeared to be a possible manager, kindly came and refilled our drinks. Upon asking for a box, we received a box but waited another 10 minutes for to ask for check to be brought (as we assumed it was on the way with the box). Unsure if we would return again due to service alone. Highly recommend the food!

Ha! Little did I know that I'd take the moment to review Iron Horse York this morning as I have still not yet enjoyed their fare. My review of this place is necessary because of the wonderful person that took my reservation for tonight's dinner. The lovely, Summer, was so pleasant and inviting during our conversation that she deserves to be recognized. With her casual yet professional demeanor, she has set a tone for what I'm sure will be a nice meal with friends! Upper-shelf customer interaction and an undeniable desire to make sure we're well-taken care of just exuded from her right through the phone. So... a word to the wise, Iron Horse York, ya gotta take care of the ones that shine. Summer's wonderful personality spoke volumes for you, and that's before I've even stepped foot inside your eatery! Take good care of her.

The food was okay, mostly bland. The bang bang shrimp was delicious. The drinks were also great. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions when asked.

This place is really nice and chill inside, but everything else was subpar at best. For the amount of money they charge for food, one should expect more. I was charged for a refill of watered down pepsi filled to the brim with ice @3.50 each. So if you make the unfortunate mistake of paying a visit here, remember that. Yes, prices are going up, but at 3.50 a refill.. that's still highway robbery. Also, I get times are tough and places are short staffed, but our party of 7 waited an hour and a half for our food and the salads were brought out at the same time. That would have been fine if the food lived up to the hype, but no. Shrimp with couscous was like soup and the shrimp tasted foul. Ceasar dressing tasted like it was from a bottle. Calamari was horrendous and rubbery. Only one person who ordered the pizza was happy. The rest of us got the short end of the stick. For a party of one with no alcohol and a Cuban sandwich, salad, and desert- $50 without tip. Ridiculous. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Needless to say, this restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be back.

Came to york for the pub crawl. This was our first stop for lunch before we did the crawl. Very festive atmosphere and enjoyed seeing everyone in costume.Casey (KC ?) Was very attentive and a wonderful wait-staff person.

Came to Iron Horse for my boyfriends college graduation with about 20 other people. Fran, the manager, offered us the back room to accommodate all of us. She ended up taking care of us during our visit and did a phenomenal job. The service was fast and she was very entertaining. Fran also got to know our names and made friendly conversation. It made us feel like we knew her personally. Food was great and so was all the drinks we had. Would highly recommend!!!

Really enjoyable and unique restaurant. Street parking is street parking- be smart and plan ahead. The pizza was great and the burger was flavorful, but the ranch was meh and watery despite apparently being made in house. Cute location for a date, close to other fun downtown things like the arcade.
