The Roosevelt is known for fine dining. But they also happen to have one of the best burgers you could ever experience. By far the best in york but honestly it's in competition with the best anywhere you go. The meat they use is just perfect and the bun is fluffy and amazing. Every bits is like...damn that's good...

Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! I agree with others' comments that this is a 'secret' of sorts in York. We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the lobster bisque special. Their drinks are great as well as the desserts, too. Entree was cooked just right for my pork.

Its been at least 15 years since my wife and I have dined at the Roosevelt Tavern. Since we happened to be in York I thought this would be a good time to stop in. Arriving around 4:40 PM the parking lot was empty, not what I expected. Upon entering we were welcomed by the hostess and she took us to the table we had often used in the past. The room had that same warm feeling with it stained glass chandeliers and the dark wood in the bar. Our waiter came right over and offered to take our drink order. Admitting he didn’t know about the wine I picked he served my selection of Terre Dei Nobili which turned out to be a very good dry red wine. My wife and I both had the Lobster Bisque which was delicious. I chose to have the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Sandwich which turned out to be what was exactly as described on the menu. My wife had the Jalapeno Brie Burger and was very pleased. We finished our meal by sharing the Lemon Blueberry Cake which was wonderful. While we were eating the room started to get very busy. That being said our visit to the Roosevelt Tavern was a very good return visit. Over all the Roosevelt Tavern has kept up its standers of great food and spirits and a well trained wait staff to make for an evening of very pleasant dinning. I would highly recommend it. We went here fur an etiquette lunch. We were shown how to properly eat a meal. It was fun, but the food was amazing. I have to say the lobster bisque was so good and the creme brulee was the absolute best I've ever had. I wanted to eat 10 more. I will be going back to try dinner stuff
