We went for Sunday brunch. The Garbage Biscuit was delicious. The sausage gravy was flavorful. Warning, the bacon was thick cut so if you like crispy bacon, that dish isn't for you. The smoked salmon benedict was well made but a bit lacking in flavor. The hollandaise seemed plain and not dill flavored as described. I ordered the Lucky Charms coffee. Again, not sure if they forgot something or if it was the norm but it did not taste like there was any flavor in the coffee. It was also a tiny cup closer to a tea cup size which was super small for $6.Overall, I'll definitely go again. The Garbage Biscuit was enough to want to come back and try more food.

Oh my GOSH!, this is our newest discovery in York!, if you’re looking for great a great breakfast menu and Super Service “Jess” is a Super Rockstar!, the food was prepared perfectly! The drinks were spot on and we throughly impressed our out of town visitors. We’re (retired)professionally trained Chefs schooled in Seattle (Le Cordon Bleu) and can identify a great eatery in 5 minutes or faster! ROOST killed it! With Jess leading the way I can almost GUARANTEE you’ll have an awesome culinary experience, did I mention the food was outstanding and perfectly executed huh? huh? Get down there and have yourself something awesome!
Jess is fantastic! We asked if they had chocolate chips for the waffles for our daughter and she made it happen! Fantastic service!! Great food!!

What a wonderful culinary experience. The avocado salmon toast was delicious and beautifully presented. Cup was always full without any obtrusive waitstaff hovering. We had South of the Border and a skillet Fun Guy. Excellent! This establishment was definitely worth the stop with parking directly on street in front. Easy in and out. Compliments to the chef and owner for such a pleasant surprise! Well done!

An alternative breakfast place in York that is reasonably priced for the area. I had the “Closed on Sundays” Benedict with veggie roast. My wife had the All in breakfast. The restaurant is split between breakfast on the left and a pizza place on the right.FoodThe food was an adequate portion for breakfast and we left satisfied and not overfull. The vegetables hash was not terrible as I thought I was be. The fried chicken was a little salty but still great flavor combination overall.My wife felt the bacon was better than the average place as was the eggs. The hash browns are average, not bad. The French toast was the star of the show.Overall reviewThe menu selection is diverse enough that you can make to your general preferences, the wait staff were kind, seating was spread out, and I’d say parking might be the only challenge unless you park at a garage. I would come back.

Honestly, the last couple years roost has not been my thing. I always felt like the entire menu was just super heavy breakfast meals. I am not one of those people that eats to sleep. But with my boyfriend persistently requesting we go there, I gave it another shot today. I’m so glad I did. They have definitely refreshed their menu and their quality of ingredients, they really have something for everyone now. I was so thrilled to see so many healthy breakfast options in contrast to their previous menu. I got the brisket tostada and it was so yummy. I also was super excited to see that they had lattes on their menu as well. My oat-milk latte was perfect. ? Even with a packed restaurant at our arrival, we got our food in an reasonable amount of time and enjoyed the ambience.
I really wanted to like this place but it’s just OK and not worth going back for me.The server was extremely slow and just kept disappearing. We finally had to get the hostess to go and get our check. We would have had more drinks because those were good but the first round didn’t arrive until our food did and then we never saw a server again.The food was a little better than average and had potential but with that service it’s not worth going back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

I didn't enjoy my food the first time, the second time they gave me the wrong order, and gave me something I specifically did not want, so I ate my husband's plate (the smkoed salmon benedict), which was DELICIOUS. The bacon was DELICIOUS.Our server was really nice, and mistakes happen. And he did apologize profusely and offerred to take it back and put in the right order. And to his defense, I did ask him specific questions about 2 or 3 items on the menu that I was indecisive about.They do have a large menu, so I'm hoping there's plenty of other food on the menu that is delicious.

I’m not a big breakfast person, they have a good selection though. The reason I keep coming back is their PIZZAS! My boyfriend and I can agree they hands down have the best pizza. We are sad that they change their menus and got rid of their upside down pizza which was our favorite but their other options are still as good.
