Mozzarella stick was frozen in the middle still she did replace them and brought us new ones but they still were not well cooked. The french fries were still hard in the middle. They were just cooked on the outside. The chicken was just fried on the outside it was slimy in the middle so I don’t like it at all.

Editing my 5-star review i previously posted.I have been a customer of Shakey Jake's since I was a kid. We never had any complaints and was always good seeing the same employees over the years with great food and customer service.With that being said, we will not be going back to this establishment with the new ownership. It took a lot for me to write this negative review, but it is absolutely the worst service every single time we have ordered over the past few months.The new owner, I presume, has no clue how to run a business and is always all over the place when I come in for our order. For months he kept handing us poorly handwritten pieces of paper for their loyalty program because they were always out of cards (staples is 2 doors down).Our order has been messed up multiple times and there are always other customers in at the same time with messed up/missed orders. Today the customer ahead of us had a completely missed pizza. The prices have also significantly been increased.Each time I go in some seemingly ridiculous change is being made to the restaurant. First it was blinding lights and now the paint job looks like it was done by a child.The owner is outwardly rude to his staff and this last time picking up an order I now only see one of the original staff members. I could really go on with the terrible experiences we have had.It is so sad to see a well loved small business I have been going to for over 25 years run to the ground. I hope this owner gets a wake up call and starts learning how to run a professional business because there is no excuse for just how poor the service is.**and, no, I do not personally know the old owners, I just enjoyed their food and service

My husband and I were out in about and decided to stop in at Shakey Jake's for a sub. We haven't been there in awhile and were surprised when we learned about new owners. I was taken back by the look and change. I wasn't going to order but my husband wanted to give them a try. I was not too happy about that. Wellllll, I was very pleasantly surprised with how good the subs were. I will definitely be back to try pizza. They just need some time to style it to their taste and decorate.... As far as the subs... Yummy!

Things have changed at Shakey Jake's. Prices are up and service is way down. When I tried to call in an I got an answering machine that tells you the hours. When I went in I tried to tell them the answering machine picks up when you call and I got told it's because the delivery person is out. This was after waiting 10 minutes to place an order. As I tried to order I discovered the grill was off today so I couldn't get most of my order. Add that all the prices have gone up drastically I would avoid Shakey Jakes unless you want a disappointing experience at a premium price.

New owner argues with people on Facebook like a little child, and since taken over has ran this business to the ground. Prices have skyrocketed, open 3 days a week, and if you’re not bringing in a big $$$ order, he don’t care about you. So beware where you spend your money, Ethan does not deserve it .EDIT ** go figure he would comment something smart. We've been getting delivery of great food from them for years. They were our go-to, went nowhere else for this kind of food and we miss them. Our first order since new ownership was very disappointing. Even after the kid repeated the order back on phone, they got it wrong,. Unfortunately, they've stopped delivery, cut hours and are taking items off the menu.Update...We absolutely did not know the previous owners. I wouldn't know them if I saw them.

At the point of entry, everyone looks at you like you’re an alien. Nobody greets you. They make you stand there and wait. More than 10 people in the back and everyone looks lost (no hair nets and no gloves).They were just a bunch of kids Acting like they working. Even after having them, repeat the order over the phone, I get home with my food and they still got it wrong. The food just got worst! The one star is for the one kid that actually looked he was working.To your response: grow up and be professional and own your Business, don’t be so Immature like the teenagers that work for you. Respecting and appreciating your customers is key….you’re welcome.
This is the only place in York for pizza/hot subs/wings whos quality is consistently on point! They make their own rolls too in house! We eat here very often, 10/10 recommend!

First off, I walked in and saw that the new ownership has created an atmosphere that feels like a high school gym with poster board signs adding to the whole amateurish look.... an pizza boxes on 6 tables!!No hello.... nothing. No sense of urgency from ANYONE.The boy at the counter didn't understand what unsweetened tea is and INSISTED that the sweetened lemon Fuze tea is unsweetened.... uh, no. 20 minutes to get a French fry and the pizza quite some time later. Oh, and no sizes of pizza other than large. Really??Once we got the pizza, it was hot and looked good enough, but had zero flavor. ZERO. The pizza sauce is tasteless - like right out of the can. Ugh.So disappointing. First, that the new owner chose to change too many things (hours, menu, decor, etc...) about a business that has done very well with a loyal following for many years. Second, that the guy I spoke to (owner/GM?) had a totally insincere "apologetic" attitude about change and that he knows what people want..... clearly not.We shall see how this venture pans out.... I predict it won't last.
