On Dec 31st, I visited Kings BBQ to celebrate New Year's Eve with my family. The restaurant had a limited selection for the special night, offering family meals with a choice of main courses such as Chicken Fried Rice or Beef, accompanied by egg rolls or spring rolls. Despite the promising menu, our experience was dampened by the disappointment of consistently cold food.Opting for Chicken Fried Rice and spring rolls in our family meal for three, we noticed that the dishes were served cold. Despite providing feedback to the owner about the initial dish being cold, the issue persisted with the fried rice. It seemed like the food had been precooked in bulk, possibly to expedite service, but reheating it adequately could have improved the experience.While I appreciate the owner's consideration for time efficiency, it's crucial to recognize that diners expect freshly cooked, hot food when dining in a restaurant, especially on special occasions. In today's challenging economic climate, customers seek value for money, particularly when celebrating with family.Aside from the temperature issue with the fried rice, we enjoyed the flavors of the other dishes. Nevertheless, the overall experience would have been significantly enhanced if the restaurant prioritized serving hot, freshly prepared meals, creating a more memorable celebration for customers. Not to forget mentioning about our server was very polite.

Ordered from door dash, ordered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce. Opened it up, no sweet and sour sauce! How can I eat my chicken balls dry?
Ordered Cantonese Chow Mein. They use fake "seafood" that LOOKS like lobster/crab but it ISN'T. There was 3 slices of pork in it, a few shrimp, and noodles galore. It's slimy and gross. The Egg roll was just ok.They had to pack it in a plastic bag to contain the leaky mess. Just plain

Placed an order through their website for delivery. Website said it would be around 30 minutes. After a little over an hour I called the restaurant to check on the order and they said it had just left and that they had been waiting on the driver. So the food was ready on time but they didn’t bother to remake it even though the driver was 40 minutes late so of course it arrived soggy and cold. On top of that there was no sauce with the sweet and sour chicken and no sauce for the egg rolls. Food was inedible, threw it all in the trash. Called the restaurant and asked for a refund, was told the owner would call me, surprise he didn’t.

We have been ordering takeout from Kings BBQ and Chinese every Christmas Eve for six years now. We always place a very large order of multiple things. For such a large order, it’s always ready on time and we have never had an issue with items being forgotten which usually always happens elsewhere. The food is always absolutely amazing! It’s always super fresh and hot and stays that way till long after we get home. This year we decided to try a new item, the sweet and sour pork for the first time and honestly it’s so good! We will definitely be adding it to our regular order. The other items we have tried include the rice, chicken balls, honey garlic spareribs, beef and chicken broccoli, chop suey, chow mein, Io mein, egg rolls and spring rolls. Every one of the previous mentioned items are absolutely delicious and well made. You can tell that the food is prepared fresh and made with great attention to detail. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so kind and are a joy to see each year. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting amazing food with wonderful customer service!
