“This is the first time my wife and I have had a Kouing Amann or a Breton butter cake, and we were hooked from the first bite. It's a sweet, ultra buttery, and layered cake which reminded us a little bite of kugel. The outside had a crunchier caramelized layer which paired wonderfully with the softer inside. It was sort of like a thicker and less airy croissant cake. We awed at the amount of butter they were working with in the bake. We also shared a croissant which was perfect. Light, airy, and slightly flakey without being messy. Service was super quick. There are only two tables inside with five total chairs, so seating is quite limited.“

“Japanese vibe coffee. Music is beautiful and relaxing. Excellent service. We had two iced specials (Matcha Sakura and Hojicha Lavender), the black sesame cake, miso brownie, sencha madeleine, earl grey donut and matcha donut. We also had two hot drinks: matcha latte and hot chocolate hojicha. Everything was great, taste is delicate and refined. Highly recommend this place.“

“Very good latte, the notes are potent and you can choose light or dark roast espresso. Scones are nice and crunchy. The latte does get a bit cold quickly which is fine for me cause I like to drink it fast and not too hot, but would have liked a heads up cause I wouldn’t have waited to drink it :)“

“I was pleasantly surprised to come across a Brazilian café in my hood! The ambiance sets the mood from the moment you open the door, bossa nova or samba music plays in the background while you select your favorite Brazilian treat to eat with a Brazilian beans coffee.A must try is the empadão de frango delightfully seasoned! They also have many different flavour cakes, coxinha, pão de queijo, brigadeiro and beijinho. All traditional to Brazilians!“

“I tasted all the mini versions of their cakes, and there isn't one word good enough to describe the intensity of deliciousness I encountered eating them. It's been a while since I entered a bakery that smelled so sweet. Suddenly, I was the 5-year-old little girl inside my godmother's kitchen who used to bake amazing cakes, eagerly waiting to snack on a small piece, thinking no one would notice my little fingerprints in the frosting. Everything tasted authentic and absolutely amazing. Not too sweet, not too sour, with no single ingredient overpowering the others. It was just right. I highly recommend anyone with a sweet tooth to indulge themselves and try their pastries.I have tasted all the miniature versions of their cakes, and there is not a word good enough to describe the intensity of delight I encountered while eating them. “This is a really wonderful shop. I visit friends in Montreal about once a year and come back to Mamie Clafoutis each time I visit specifically for the Abricotine and pistachio croissants. They are so delicious and well made. The staff is always patient, efficient and friendly too. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry. I appreciate that they have filter coffee and that it is also very good. I have had sandwiches too and they are also very nice. It might not be possible to find something that wasn't highly enjoyable here.“

“Boulangerie Miette in Griffintown is a true gem! Their traditional bread and delicatessen are absolutely delightful. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread that's impossible to resist.Their bread, in particular, is a work of art. Each loaf is crafted with precision and care, resulting in a perfect balance of crusty exterior and soft, flavorful interior. It's evident that they take their time to use high-quality ingredients and adhere to time-honored baking techniques. The delicatessen offerings are equally impressive. From savory pastries to mouthwatering sandwiches, every bite is a taste of culinary excellence. The variety and quality of their deli items showcase their dedication to providing customers with an authentic and memorable experience. What truly sets Boulangerie Miette apart is not just the food, but also the friendly and knowledgeable staff. “I got a double espresso, a hangover croissant breakfast and the rounded pistachio croissant. The croissant breakfast is messy to eat, too much bechamel, would say 6/10. The rounded pistachio croissant is good but the filling doesn’t taste pistachio as much as I would imagine , but is very good. I would like to try the chocolate one next time. 8/10“

“I had Uncle T. last week and found it way both too sweet and too salty. This, on the other hand, hits the spot. It is perfect. If you know German Käsekuchen--the original inspiration for Japanese-style cheesecake--and soufflé, then this is the perfect meeting of the two. While they are not cheap, they are worthwhile. (I had a plain cheesecake).“

“Awesome bakery with unique products and some of the classics. The chocolate chunk biscottis are delicious (to be noted: not Italian kind). Also the challah. I’ve tried many of their products over time. Today the pesto pizza and latte with coconut milk def didn’t disappoint! :-)“

“Excellent products, the staff is very friendly and patient, the atmosphere lacks a little warmth. In my humble opinion the tables could regain a youthful air and the chairs should be changed because when you sit down, as the seats are broken, you sit too low, therefore uncomfortable. Also lacking a little cleanliness.Despite everything, thank you for the excellence of the products and the good service of the employees. I wish you a great new year and many more customers. See you soon.“
“I get my bread at Ecodep on Laurier. Having an irritable colon, eating sourdough bread is preferable. He is one of the rare bakers to make bread only with sourdough. The only downside is that the spelled loaf is not always available. Kamut bread is quite digestible on the other hand.“

“Brossard Bagels are amongst the very best to be had anywhere in the area of Montreal. If you are on the south shore and you have a craving I strongly suggest you stop by this wonderful place. What’s more they have many other delicacies that you can enjoy, including vegetable samosas (my favorite) Various sandwiches and other tasty treats. Their bagels have a fairly good shelf life meaning after five days. They have not yet gone stale, which is a good thing. Parking: There aren’t that many spots. It’s all about the timing. But you can always park in the mall parking across the street and run in! ?“

“HIDDEN GEM!!! I stumbled upon this cafe while looking for a French boulangerie and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely amazing, I got the creme brûlée, which they burned RIGHT FOR US!! Also I got a red velvet cookie with white chocolate and it was mouth watering :) The mochaccino was a piece of art really! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service is soooo FRIENDLY!! They help you with everything, anticipate your every thought. I was a bit lost on which coffee to choose and they saw it and helped me immediately, asked whether I prefer a coffee of a strong or a mild type, I never was asked that before in a cafe, the level of service my god :)The atmosphere was amazing too, not too many people like in some other cafes on the same street, not noisy and the view from the window makes you feel like you are in Europe! I wish I could live on this street and come to drink coffee in this place every day :)Definitely gonna be back and totally recommend!! This place is underrated in my opinion :)“

“My sister recommended this spot for some awesome donuts. We went on Easter Sunday at 1pm so they didn’t have much of anything left but the donuts we got were delicious. The donuts are chewy and have an old fashion taste that takes me back to the 80’s.The young woman at the counter was not very welcoming or helpful at all and was just there to put the donuts in the box and take our money. Customer service was not impressive at all but donuts was the point of the visit.Definitely a great little spot for a meet and greet and a good donut.“
“My pumpkin pie consisted of a very very fine layer of pumpkin nestled on top of a very very thick Almond substance crust, horrible, just horrible.Extremely disappointing, it’s an outrage actually, I want my $18.00 back!! I will never return, nor should anyone“
“Je ne croyais pas trouver un lieu semblable à Montréal! Boulangerie incroyable menée par un homme très travaillant qui fait de bons produits sains. “I always wanted to come in this place, passing by quite often. It was very pretty inside and they had a lot of nice pastries. I got a bunch for about 34$ which is very good in my opinion. The mousse au chocolate and framboise, lemon tart, and baguettes were all good. The service could bave been a bit better, as they were jumping back and forth, but it's probably how busy they are.“
“Their food is delicious! And they have horchata which is so good. But the best part is that they have a grocery part with products that are kind of hard to find unless you live near those latino grocery stores in Montreal. Authentic and Mexican.
