$76.80 excluding tip....... FORGIVE?!?!?! This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in my life!Parmesan cheese fondue starter: I don't think there can be more DRY and BURNED parmesan squares than this in the history of restaurants. We returned the dish to the kitchen, because it was legendary dry. The dish came back EVEN DIERER and burnt than it had been to begin with.Chef's salad (starter): Spring salad mix, grated carrots floating in its vinaigrette. Simply disgusting...Arugula salad: $18.95.....This price really does not justify the quality and quantity of the size of the palm of your hand.Carbonara Pasta Dish: This was NOT a carbonara!!!!!!!! Pieces of ham, bacon, cut as small as a green pea in a SOUP/SAUCE dripping Campbell's cream of chicken can. I can't believe they serve this.At the time, I was a huge fan of the Academy (rue St-Denis in Montreal). We are FAR from the queue that there was I said and I understand why.. Serving that to the world...... What a disappointment. It is INSULTANT to pay for this kind of food.

I returned there in February 204. Very good service, and even a warm welcome from a friendly (and very chic!) host. The food overall was good (there were 8 of us) but the steak was just rubbish so I don't recommend it.We were a group of 6, on a Tuesday evening so not too many people. I had a plate of curried mussels. I liked it and what's more, it's on special on Tuesdays. The service was very good and the server very friendly. I will definitely go back.Parking: No parking problems.

Food was ok, service was good but we had a gift certificate bought for us a Costco and they wouldn't accept it. Very disappointing!! Between the four of us we probably spent close to $200 + wine. Will never go back.

Nice atmosphere, bring your wine!I must say that the atmosphere is relaxing, the decor relaxed, as for the food it was good, for the price I expected a little more, but considering that they don't make a hard profit wine, prices are a little higher.The Prosciutto pizza is not the best, it is more of a pizza filled with ham, cheese and balsamic reduction. All that, but too much. The dough is very good but it is far from a thin pizza. 3 slices of real prosciutto and a few pieces of cheese and a thin line of reduction would have been enough!For the steak, nice cooking, nice plate and nice temperature! $42 I think for a sirloin with fries (which are amazing! Really good) and vegetables! A plate that is worth the price!The service was friendly, a 2x year old who takes the time to talk to you! Thank you Zoé for the beautiful evening!This was my second visit and I'm going back! The poutine looks excellent! At $27 for the filet mignon one! Stay tuned for the next review! I'm eager to :-)I recommend this restaurant!

On Feb 14the 2024, it was our worst experience of all our restaurants.We got there at around 17:00. a very young girl in white shirt starting water and order...a long waiting for our food...during the time I noticed that young girl was no longed be seen....We finished our meal, I notify a rather long pepper-greyish hair, long beard waiter that we are ready to pay....A very longer waiting ( we had others things to do, we wanted to leave), saw that male waiter (long pepper-greyish hair, long beard) passing us many times, get other peoples' payments, I hinted him again we want to pay and leave, he nodded to us from distance, which meant he knew that we have been waiting for long time for just for him to come to get our pay....Another 15 -20 min passed, this waiter passed us for going to other tables many times, but just chose ignoring us!another 10 min waiting... I had to walked to the front desk when I saw an elder man there, telling him I have been waiting and informing for more than 40 min for just wishing to pay....I will never ever go back there !

I ordered several days in advance from their own website, they send me a reminder an hour before pick up on the day of and when I arrive at the exact time for pick up I'm told they didn't have my order in the system and I have to wait 30 minutes for them to make it. How did their system send me a reminder and not tell their cooks? Very strange.Mistakes happen though, it sucks but I let them know I think I was due maybe some discount off my meal for my trouble or a small refund. Who I assume was the manager told me he was unable to offer any sort of refund but didn't really provide a reason and instead offered me a $25 gift card which I think may be fair if the food was really good....It was not. The seafood linguini had sauce similar to michalenas frozen meals. There were a total of 5 mussels in my meal and no other "seafood" so bit of a let down. The main reason my wife and I choose this place was because of the steak tartar but what a disappointment that was. Last I checked tartar should not have stringy meat in it. Oh, our salad also had past wilted, practically decomposing leaves in there as well so really no saving grace to this experience other then the Staff being somewhat nice about the whole situation.Clearly with such a long review I was not impressed, happy or even content. I will not be using the $25 gift card, after messing up my order you should have ensured what you handed me was your best quality food and it was terrible.Inside the place seemed nice though.

We were there last Saturday with a large group for a birthday. The food had no taste. More than half of the people barely ate half the plate. Honestly the food was really not good. We even informed the waitress when she came to collect the half-filled plates.

Superb evening! Excellent service this evening with Eric, we were a large group, we had reserved the private room and the service was impeccable!!! Thank you Eric and the entire academy team! The dishes were all very good, we were all served at the same time, just WoW!

I don't normally review restaurants as I'm not picky, the majority of the time I have a lovely evening and the food is good/adequate. If I take the time to write today, it is because I strongly recommend that you avoid the Academy. This is the second chance I've given to this restaurant. The first time, they brought the wrong plate to my partner. She moved the food on the plate before realizing it and notifying the waiter, who entered the kitchen and immediately came out with the same plate and placed it in front of another person! Our plates were cold and the flavors ordinary at best, the salmon was similar to what you can eat at IKEA, for a fraction of the price. I gave the restaurant a second chance only because I received a gift certificate. Well, when it came time to pay, they refused to honor it! Even though I showed the consumer protection office website which clearly indicates that there cannot be an expiration date for gift cards and vouchers, they didn't want to hear anything. . But the worst was the food. My son was served a lukewarm (almost cold) duck poutine and the mussels and fries dish was mediocre, the sauce inedible and a large portion of the mussels were empty. I am clearly not the only one to have had problems with the food since when I was there, another lady made a scene in front of everyone, asked to see a manager and we could hear the other customers complaining. Take my advice, spend your money elsewhere. If you want a “bring your own wine” restaurant, without being exceptional, Vieux Duluth and Casa Grèque are already much better.
