We visited Le Promesse yesterday (Saturday) and we enjoyed our experience!The store is new and thus it was still almost brand new and clean!The food was good but needs a bit of tweeking to be at par with locations like Abou Zolof or Lilac or Daou... but it's still decent food...What we liked:Cheese rolls (R2a2at)Kebab (delicious)!ChanklishDelicious Mashawi (Grilled Meat Platter)What was ok:Baba GhanoujHumusFatoucheWhat needs improvement:MohamaraThe service was very professional...read full review

Had lunch here. The wonton soup was excellent. Unfortunately the city of Montreal uses its nice old Chinatown as the dumping ground for its addicted and mentally ill street people. The view from the large windows of this restaurant was alternating heart breaking and disgusting. If you decide to experience the nastiness of this neighborhood, I suggest avoiding a window seat.
