This place hands down has the best bread and pastries in Montreal. I would argue that their croissant is better than a lot I’ve had in France.Julien is a superstar and I’m obsessed with this place. Once you you know about this place it will become a weekly obsession.

One of the best bakeries I've tried in Montreal! It's rare that I leave reviews on Google but this one is worth it.

EVERYTHING is incredible, I'm never disappointed and I go back all the time. The pains au chocolat are the best in town and inexpensive. They often have specialties like mushroom champipan or hazelnut chocolate roulade. It’s super well organized, clean and I like the

A fan of artisanal bakeries since the opening of “Le Fromentier”… Automne Boulangerie is in my top Montrealers!!! Their breads, their pastries and what can we say about their decadent savory tarts…!?

The crust is always overcooked, burnt, it's ridiculous, but I like well-cooked bread but there are limits, it's really exaggerated. The pains au chocolat are good but too expensive. The English muffins are very good but also too expensive and impossible to keep them for more than 48 hours they go moldy too quickly, I will try putting them in the fridge the second day to see if that fixes the problem. The croissants are ok but they are canned mushrooms not fresh and there is very little stuffing but I appreciate that there is no cheese in them. The cookies are not great, way overcooked too.The service is mediocre, you often have to wait for the girls to finish their personal conversations before being served then they will serve you while continuing their personal conversation... they are not all the same but some are.In short, I prefer to walk 10 minutes more and go to Far Breton where everything is super good there in addition to being much cheaper and the service is great or even go to the metro and simply buy first harvest.Autumn is really overrated. Very expensive and few products are successful and there is almost never a chocolatine available after 11:30 a.m. Anyway, the truly good bakeries in Montreal can unfortunately be counted on the fingers of one hand. In the vast majority of places there are only 30% good products and 70% mediocre products. The 2* are for the fact that it doesn't seem to be an easy job so I respect that (it's still a hassle to make puff pastry) and that some products are good but I don't I can't give 3* which corresponds to "it was correct" because I don't find it correct to sell burnt bread instead of golden brown.

I feel more and more disappointed with each visit... They are failing to meet the needs of the neighborhood, because well before closing, there is literally nothing left. However, by simply going to the traditional market next door, you find the same baguette. Same thing at the IGA next door it seems to me. It seems that they are more interested in serving large stores than their small local customers...The in-store experience is also becoming more and more ridiculous. I don't blame the employees, because they are just doing their job. However, I blame management for deciding that it took four different employees to either simply give me one of their pastries or a larger order. One person to take the order, another to list the order, another to put the product in the bag, and another to collect and list the order for the umpteenth time. It becomes almost comical and frankly very impersonal. Once there you can just install a self-service checkout. The worst thing is that even with this system which seems elaborate and which prevents or reduces errors (as I read in response from the owners to another criticism of this type) the poor employees are still sometimes very confused when it comes to the third tablets. It's far too mechanical. But hey, I know nothing about bakery management, I'm just the customer who undergoes this unpleasant experience each time they visit.

The pastries and raisin bread are excellent, but they have made a mistake in my order 3 times (one thing less or the wrong pastries). I recommend opening your bags and each box before leaving.
