Jerk chicken, plantain and rice are amazing. The rum cake was good as well but a bit dry on the thick part of the cake. 5/5 for the price: Jamaican Patty, Large Jerk chicken (includes 2 legs) and a slice of cake for $35 taxes included!

This was my favourite place when I moved here 3 years ago but in the last year they have really succumbed to shrinkflation like many other restaurants. Food quality has gone down, serving size gone down, jerk chicken is not spiced, rice is dry, they only give one slice of plantain in a combo, and price has increased about 30-40% depending on the dish. I wouldn’t mind the higher price point if the quality was still there. I miss the old Boom Js.

The curry chicken was a little under seasoned. I’m of Caribbean descent and look forward to more flavor. Salt helped as it was fine to begin with just not delicious. I asked for passion fruit juice and received mango. It was delicious but I had a taste for passion. Big portions.

Too expensive for the quantity or quality of the food. The rice is dry, no sauce and the meat too.

The food they served us definitely wasn’t Jamaican food. The jerk tasted like it was made with spices you’d find in some Indian dishes. It wasn’t good or authentic. The service was horrible and we were short changed. When we complained the cashier started arguing with us although we showed him a receipt. He snatched the receipt and refused to give it back to us, until a few of the other customers intervened. We then walked out with customers refusing to order because the customer service was horrible.

We got there late and everything was microwaved, tasted like last week's dinner. Patties are cafeteria grade, most likely store bought and the employee was pretty rude. Nothing to make me wanna give it a 2nd

I’ve been ordering since before they were established price good. Services is going down a bit. Food is changing. After today I’m not sure I’ll be re-ordering.

I've always found quality inconsistent, sometimes the food's good, sometimes not at all (talking about rotis here). But my husband loves it and tends to forgive the mishaps over time.So for his bday we order via Uber. He is vegetarian and wanted to get a box of frozen veggie patties as well. Well, we received the beef ones and the guy over the phone told us to bring them back if we want to exchange. We live far, if we could just pop in we wouldn't Uber and pay delivery and service fees. Of course it's just not worth it to drive there late in the evening bc of something that's the resto's fault. What's funny, it's the 2nd time the exact thing happened. And on another occasion he got a fish roti instead of a veggie one (how? why?)We should have learned from it + food inconsistency before, guess we will now ?‍♀️

I used to love this place. Anytime we've ordered over the last few years they get at least one thing wrong (as in not what we ordered). The roti is super inconsistent; today it was awful, last time it wasn't what I ordered and I couldn't eat it. There are way better and more consistent options in town. Sorry J, no more chances.
