Really enjoyed the cosy vibe of the testament very attending servers reasonable price and generous portions , I had kremlin salad borscht soup mother-in-law tongue assorted dish highly recommended and Kiev cake for desert and of course don’t forget a shot of vodka or their Russian beer :) and live music on weekends !

I Ordered a soup and a salad for pickup (i am a regular customer since last winter)Went to pick it up and when i got home, the salad wasnt even the one i ordered. I called to let them know that they did not give me the good salad + there is meat in it and i dont eat meat, the lady couldnt understand english i asked to speak with someone who speak english, they passed the phone to someone who spoke to me in french !!! Anyhow the other lady said she was sorry but there was no more of the salad i ordered i then asked her why did she gave me the other one without telling me + there is meat in it, she said she did not know someone dont eat meat, i told her that she could have told me straight up the salad was out of order at the moment instead of selling me something i did not ordered and all she said was sorry sorry .... i had to thrown the food away which break my heart because i just CANNOT eat meat for health reason.., Sadly after months of going there weekly ill never go again after this miserable service. Even the soup wasnt what it use to be. DONT ORDER TAKE OUT.

This little restaurant is a hidden gem in Côte des Neiges, an absolute must go. The ambiance is super nice with their cavern decor and the service is always super cordial and welcoming. Great vodka and black bread :)

A bit of a strange vibe to this place. Went with a friend and we were the only two people in the restaurant, along with an older man who was just watching Russian TV (likely the owner). The food was tasty, but some of it was obviously microwaved. The decor is cool and the waiter was nice. It was a good experience but I'm not sure I'd go back.

A basement restaurant with a spooky ambience. They have a good selection of Eastern European dishes. The borscht soup was great. The main dish didn't exactly suit my tastes.

Comfortable place, good food and traditional russian decorations here, not a lot of lights in this place and I think for some people it will be a little strange, if you want to try traditional russian meals this is an exellent place to do so. Also I saw stage there, so probably they have some sort of singer that comes sometime to sing songs. I liked staff and definetely come again but with more people))
I have visited this family restaurant with a friend of mine and I was amazed by the wonderful culinary experience. She has a Russian background so she made some excellent recommendations. It was my first time experiencing Russian food: 1) The food was super tasty, 2)Fresh ingredients 3) The ambiance is very cozy, 4) the server was super kind & courteous and the owner was a gem, he took the time to explain to me the meaning of a beautiful hand made piece of art. I had a wonderful time and I left with a huge smile on my face. I will certainly visit again in the future! Thank you La Caverne, 5 Stars all the way!
