Two days ago I witnessed the supervisor or owner disrespect a woman in and outside the store. The woman spoke English. The supervisor started the conversation in English then switched to French, asking the woman to speak in French and asking why she couldn't speak in French. Quebec is a French province but Montreal is multicultural. The store is located in an English-speaking neighborhood. I felt so uncomfortable witnessing this situation. This is a terrible representation of Quebec and I feel bad for the immigrants or tourists who have to endure this kind of discrimination here in the province. Because of this experience, I give this bakery 2 stars. They make good bread and pastries, but I don't tolerate discrimination.

The products offered are excellent. Since the renovations, I feel uneasy every time I enter this bakery. The commercial shift that the company has decided to take is unfortunate. There was a certain something in the proximity to the employees and the products which gave the impression of a village bakery close to its customers and which no longer exists. On my last visit, the staff seemed nervous, not smiling at all and the English speaking commercial music was blaring in the ears. All this makes you want to leave quickly...or never go back.

Line is always super long cause everyone raves about their bread !! Their new location is gorgeous with lots of options. We got their cheesecake. They used to offer slices but because of high demand and long lines they don’t have time to cut the cheesecake into slices so they only sell the full think for about $30 which is a big jump if you just wanted a slice ?

Excellent products! On the other hand, the online ordering process should be reviewed. The bakery is known for having a long queue, ordering online before the expansion was an efficient way of not lengthening the queue while still serving customers in a hurry. Today everyone has to queue, it goes against the very principles of ecommerce..Wouldn't it also be more judicious to have people dedicated to the cash register and others to service? There are clearly avenues for optimization to explore. In the meantime we come less often..

By far the best bread in the area, and one of the best in the city. The wait (even with the recent expansion) is very long and I wish they had a better system in place to speed things up. But the bread is worth the wait, just fantastic.

Online service has become incomprehensible, no point in ordering online. The wait is the same as if you showed up without an order. The system worked very well before, worse than going backwards, incomprehensible, you lose customers. Best

Like other reviewers shocked to see the concept of pick up changed. There is no mention on the website apart from big red letters of 2023 Summer vacation closures.Disappointing to see popularity ruin this great place for the worst.

La Meunerie had found the perfect recipe. Not just for these breads, but also for the purchasing process. You could order the products online, pay and pick them up at the store. You go there during the day and there are meetings waiting for you, you have little children who are a little impatient, a dog who barks? No problem, looking for the bag took no more than 30 seconds.Instead of keeping this good approach, they simply decided to go backwards. Obviously you can still order online, but you wait in line. The last time I waited almost 15 minutes with everyone, who didn't know what to get, who wanted more information on three different breads, who couldn't find their credit card in their bag, etc. When it was my turn, the saleswoman looked for my bag, which took about 15-20 seconds – and after 15 minutes and 20 seconds I left the store. Absolutely ridiculous.Where La Meunerie could have excelled not only in the quality of its products, but also in its approach to retailing, it has simply gone backwards. Really disappointing.

This place does not need a good review from me. Anyone who has tried the bread or pastries from here, already know that they’re top. If you don’t already know, quickly make your way. There are many kinds of bread. All made with easy to digest flour. Delicious and fresh. You can buy some and freeze to have.Unfortunately for me, their croissants, pain au chocolate, muffins, cookies… all delicious. It is pricey but not expensive because the value warrants the price. It is great to see that they’re expanding. We want them to be around for a long time.
