I went to a brunch at Lawrence following advices from friends and websites. I was not disappointed. The staffs are very friendly. Work fast and very professional. Food is amazing. Different than the usual menu from other brunches. Lawrence feels like a fancy brunch. Food is amazing with a diversity of taste. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to eat a brunch there. On the other side, the place is small and waiting to get a table can be long. But the wait is worth it.

I tried a lot of stuff on the menu but I mostly come for their burger here. The burger is great but very inconsistent, sometimes its cooked medium, sometimes medium rare. The last time I went the buns were kind of burned but I didn't have time to ask for another one since it was near the curfew hour

If ever you are missing salt for your kitchen just order the burger. Its got more than enough. The bacon is soft and limps. Not well cooked. The bread was soggy. The burger was so salty, i stopped half way before my heart stopped.Paid 54$ for 2 burgers and fries. I do not mind paying a higher price but this was a big dissapointment.

Legit best burger in MTL. Hands down. Not even close.

Very (too) salty porchetta and pulled pork sandwiches... :(

I tried their cheese sandwich, their burger and their french toast and everything was incredibly good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's cheaper at lunch but it's expensive for dinner and brunch. I was lucky with my french toast but my family's plates were not amazing at all. The service is always good.

This place is special. The seven-course set meal is gastronomic performance art, a series of inventions (tuna sashimi on bone marrow-loaded sourdough toast; smoked eel with horseradish icecream and crunchy kohlrabi) you've never had and will never have again. Every one works. Brilliantly. And if you're into wine, don't choose from the list: go with the sommelier's pairings (five half-glasses). They are as unique and delicious as the food.

Easily one of the best meals I have EVER had. Deft, unpretentious excellence. Warm server, genius wine pairings and sublime fare.

Came here for one of "the best burger in Montreal" and I was NOT disappointed. A big (but not excessive) tasty burger filled my craving. The staff was nice and courteous, they have a few spots to eat outside

These peeps are totally nailing it with the current pandemic situation. Sublime dishes and wines delivered carefully, with their well known empathetic service and knowledge alive and well over the phone. It's as if you're sitting in the resto. If this is the new normal then bring it on.

Take out, on encourage le commerce local. Wow, Mozza tomates, steak chimichuris, boulette d’agneau. Excellent, superbe découverte

Came here for brunch with some friends for the first time and wasn't disappointed. Surprisingly not too crowded on a saturday morning, even though we had to wait for a 4 people table. But if you're 2, seating is super quick.

"Casual fine dining" may sound like an oxymoron, but that is how I would categorize my recent experience at Lawrence. I went for lunch, and sat at their bright, airy counter. I ordered a burger and fries, because it just sounded good and hearty on a very cold winter day. The burger itself is prepared from beef next door (their own butcher shop), so it's fresh and perfect -- with just enough fat to make it juicy. The bun is a big fluffy brioche, and the plate comes with a generous serving of cottage fries. While I prefer frites, which are thinner, my burger and fries were delicious and copious. Serving sizes are bigger here than small-plates-sister-resto Larrys next door. The star of my lunch was the dessert. Although chocolate cake with beet (!) sorbet sounded intriguing, I opted for the rice pudding with mango coulis, which had bits of some sort of sweet black sesame crispy wafer crumbled over it. There was also a sprig of some sort of unidentifiable fresh herb on top (I asked the server, who told me it was a baby cilantro sprout). Somehow, the unusual combination worked perfectly. Happily, Lawrence is not a fancy formal dining destination, it is a charming neighborhood restaurant with imaginative, affordable food. The service here was warm and friendly and very welcoming. Mile End dining at its best.

The service was good, though it’s not very clear where the host’s podium is and I was confused about who to talk to about the reservation I had. Other than that, the menu has a good variety of things but we were informed that for dinner, everything is a “tapas style, meant to be shared” which is really interesting but my boyfriend and I don’t have the same diet. He can usually only eat chicken or seafood and there were zero options with chicken on the menu. I think there was only one vegetarian option too. That’s okay, the vibe was really nice and everything and the staff were super kind. I just had no idea that the menu was a shared type of thing as nothing indicated that on the menu itself, or the website and no reviews said anything about it either.
