We celebrated our son’s birthday at the Mamaia resto with the best traditional Romanian food. We were pleasantly surprised that everything was tasty and cooked just like at home, in Romania.Fast and professional service for reasonable price. Thanks for a memorable event ! ❤️We had Plate No.3, the Mixed Grill with gratinated polenta with cheese and baconand Breaded Kaskaval.And for desert Papanași of course… You also have to try the Romanian plum brandy, Palinca or Țuică !Highly recommended!!!
Excellent place to taste good quality food cooked in the traditional way. If you're looking for fancy service and a flashy place, this is not it. If you're ok with informal dining but you're looking for quality food and drinks, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Prices are reasonable too.

The cuisine and wine are traditional. It is sometimes difficult to arrive between two services but we were welcomed and served very well. The more perfect the discography was (James Brown, Somerville, Irina Rimes..). Recommend a visit.

When in Montreal please visit this restaurant. The food is truly AMAZING! It is so delicious!! We ordered soups and traditional main entrees. Eveything is so flavorful? Prices are reasonable for the amount of food received. I am a 1st generation Romanian. This food tastes as great as my parents and grandparents cooking! We were so full we skipped the dessert. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome Romanian food. The mici are absolutely fantastic! The pickles are really good, especially the pickled tomatoes - just like grandma used to do it! And the papanași for dessert are a must.

Dirty plates, DIRTY glasses, dirty silverware, NEVER washed the little NASTY cloths they serve the silverware in…NEVER AGAIN… i think they know their days are counted so they are milking the last few dollars they can before going bankrupt….Parking: Good luck finding anything close hy!
