One of the most beautiful late night experiences. Late arrival, stress-free service, cocktails executed to perfection and tasty, classic food. Thanks to Phil for this experience.

Another exceptional meal at Monarque! All the dishes were perfect, from the smoked cod croquettes as an aperitif to the éclair for dessert.I highly recommend the butcher's cut (from the onglet), tasty, crispy on the surface and perfectly rare. The dessert was a perfect balance of flavors and textures

I had a great experience here for a presentation in their basement conference room. The service was attentive, the staff were super friendly and refilled our drinks/water constantly throughout the night (we never had an empty glass). The food was nicely prepared, flavors were balanced, the pavlova dessert was huge : some of my colleagues were not able to finish it. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to come back and try their full menum

We made reservations here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! We sat at the bar (highly recommend!) and really enjoyed our dining experience from start to end.Staff were amazing, friendly and was evident they really enjoyed their environment. Service was prompt and attentive.Loved the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant.Last but not least, the food. Incredible dishes all around. We ordered oysters, bone marrow, pear and prosciutto salad, steak and braised veal cheek. Every single dish blew us out of the water. Finished with their chocolate cake that was also a hit.Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Very pleased with my experience at Monarque. A warm welcome and unparalleled service. We chose the brasserie with a beautiful atmosphere and good humor. Small downside for the tables that are a little too close together lacking privacy. For starters, we had the bone marrow, Burgundy snails and the beef tartare, it was excellent and the portions were very generous. For the dishes, a little disappointed with the lamb sirloin which had a very strong taste and lacked spices. However, the duck confit was very popular.

restaurant that surprised me (positively): a high caliber menu with several sure values at prices that can be described as reasonable for the quality and refinement. Outstanding service.
The steak was very delicious but the waiter was not really friendly, felt rushed and not welcome

Bad experience at lunch time. The service was really slow and we were poorly served by an arrogant waiter. I had to leave with my dish in a bag to bring.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant because a lot of people told me about it but I will admit that I was disappointed: they do what many other French brasseries in Montreal do, but not as good.I think it's good for tourists who come to eat in the old place but locals have access to similar restaurants with better execution. The marrow bone was not well seasoned and I asked for a medium rare flank steak and even after sending it back to the kitchen for better cooking, it was the same: the waiter was very kind and made sure that the cooking was good and I told him that it was still missing cooking but I did not want to return my dish a third time: the person who accompanied me was ready for his dessert. Oh and error on my bill: check your bills before paying, I had an extra glass of wine charged to me.Too bad, so much potential in this beautiful setting.
