I have experience 20 year in the restaurant, so whatever how you make your food or whatever how much you ask for the price that is your decision how to run your businessBut (you sell chicken biryani with no chicken I can’t understand that)) I will be honest half of the chicken leg in the plate ??

This place serves the closest to authentic northern Indian restaurant-style (Delhi/Punjabi food in particular) food you can get in Montreal, or perhaps in North America. If you value a perfectly cooked Naan, a little charred on the outside, beautifully soft inside, lathered with garlic/butter/coriander, a little stretchy---this literally may be the only place in North America aside from places in Toronto and the Bay Area where you may be able to find this (although I personally have not). I certainly can vouch for not having the pleasure of eating such good naan in New Jersey, where you'd expect to find some of the most authentic Indian restaurants. The Daal makhani is amazing (although it is not of the Motimahal style; I preferred Lajawaab's!). The shahi paneer and kadhai paneer are absolutely phenomenal. The butter chicken is what any restaurant in Delhi would be proud to serve. Again I go back to the Naan. If you like good naan and have missed it sorely from your time in India, well this place can be your savior.

Amazing and tasty food. A must visit if you’re looking to eat fresh, good quality and tasty food. And the best part, very affordable and competitive in comparison to other Indian restaurants.

My husband and I went to Lajawab a few times before Christmas. Everyone there was so nice and the food is so tasty. I am in love with their curries and naan bread and the portions are perfect. Can't wait to go back

I can’t describe how good the food was! Everything is tasty and full of flavour but not too overwhelming. Staff is so nice and the service impeccable. I highly recommend this place! We definitely are coming back!

Speaking as a Delhite, best butter chicken and naan in Montreal, hands down! We ate a sumptuous meal with a starter, non veg thali and dessert for 2 in 20$. Excellent service and conversation with the chef.Just don't expect much for ambience, the food more than makes up for it. Don't think twice, just try it ?
