A top notch hidden gem in Montreal! The traditional Japanese curry and donburi are absolutely delicious! And definitely don’t forget the tiramisu, you won’t regret it! Thank you so much for having us!

I loved everything about this place! We had amazing food (great Onigiri and I highly recommend the fried chicken with garlic soy sauce). Loved the ambiance, the decoration and music made it an amazing experience

Very comprehensive menu, there is something for everyone. Mix of Asian and American dishes. The Shake Shake fries are well seasoned. In fact, everything we ordered was very good. They make handmade biscuits which are really excellent. They give some to customers at the end of the meal but you can buy some in bags for home or to give as gifts. The service is very good. Great experience, I recommend it.

We don't use these expressions often but this weekend, we discovered an actual (and literal) hidden gem. Yes, we said it.HIDDEN GEMYou cant blame us for being unaware of the subtle, understated restaurant in its location under the shadow of the Turcot Interchange but we assure you its definitely worth questing. As a foodie herself, the talented and creative  chef (and baker) makes the type of food she would want to eat. A fusion of Asian and Quebec influenced cuisine with everything made in-house from scratch and absolutely packed with flavour. We had the pleasure of having perfectly crispy, expertly seasoned chicken as both an appetizer and in the donburi, as well as a exquisitely cooked burger with a unique combination of toppings. For dessert, a delectable classic crème brûlée and the most chewey, delicious cranberry cookies really displayed our hosts instinctive baking skills.Every dish we ordered wowed us with its distinctive mix of spices and attention to detail that can only be conceived by a culinary artist with love for their craft. We also loved the subtleties in the decor showcasing the owner's artistic personality with vinyl disc lighting, vintage cameras and magazines. For the cinephiles, you may have spotted this location in the crime/thriller movie : "To Catch a Killer"Sometimes you need to look closer and make an effort to find wonderful things as they are neither obvious nor boastful. We like those kind of places.Oh, and there's a parking lot! ?

Delicious and hidden from other trendy places in the area. Up and coming jem in the neighborhood. Wish people would take advantage and dine instead of just ordering through Uber Eats/etc, the experience and quality were great ?

Aside from the odd location and name, Shokutsuki offers well prepared, well balanced Japanese style meals.
