Nice atmosphere. Service was good. Food arrived relatively quickly for such a busy place. The food was just passable. Fries were not good. Bread was great but meat was dry. Portions were on the small sideDessert was bland. That said I could see there were a lot of happy regulars and it may be I just ordered the wrong things

Snowdon Deli which is situated on Decarie Boulevard is in my opinion is a real old fashioned delicatessen which is very rare in Montreal nowadays.My wife and I needed our smoked meat fix and decided to visit this Montreal institution for a Smoked Meat on rye. The sandwiches that were served were hot, juicy, and absolutely delicious thus satisfying our craving completely.If you are a Smoked Meat addict then this is the perfect place to stop by.

Best smoked meat in Montreal. The debate will go on, but that’s where I stand. The fixings are great as well. Don’t forget the club roll, karnatzel, kreplach and holishkes. Get a pound a smoked turkey on your way out!

So, I've had smoked meat from Schwartz, Dunns, Ruebens, Pete's Smoked meat, le Roi du Smoked Meat, Lester's, Nickels and now-defunct Ben's, to name a few. My preferred Smoked meat sandwich was from this little Smoked meat place in Marche 440 in Laval. Until today. Snowden deli, a Montréal institution, is now number one on my list as best smoked meat in Montréal. My Smoked meat sandwich is always ordered medium-fat and Snowden delivered with perfection. Taste, moisture,, tenderness, spices were perfect. Also meat was thinly sliced which is becoming a lost "art" in Montréal. Add to this the warm welcome and great staff and service and very reasonable prices. I'll stop here only to say I sincerely recommend this place.
