It had been several years since I went and I came away very disappointed. The quality in general has declined significantly. A salad without vinaigrette...a classic tartare with too many capers which intensifies the vinegary aspect and to top it off a load for the accompanying bread!

Point #1 THEY DON'T SERVE ALCOHOL SO BRING YOUR OWN!!!Really decent dinner the steak may be under done for your taste I had the steak Frites and that cut off meat needs to be cooked a little more than medium-rare I think. I got the poutine upgrade and expected the steak to be front and center on top of the poutine but they were served separately. It was a business trip dinner so kind of like eating alone as everybody is busy reading email from the day ?. But the atmosphere was very bland.Over all of I'm staying in this part of the city again I'll likely try one of the other steak restaurants first better going back.

Medium Rare Rib Eye steak was undercooked for 2 of us who ordered that. When they returned, the doneness was Medium & Medium Well. For a steak place, that's disappointing for a $53 steak. We were a party of 6 with 4 bottles of wine, of which 2 were expensive vintages 2006 & 2009 and were told they couldn't bring new wine glasses between bottles. They said only had just enough glasses for the restaurant. We took our water glasses and rinsed them ourselves. The place was not even 50% full on a Saturday night, from 5:00pm through 7:00pm when we left. Not enough wine glasses? Really?Disappointing experience, after spending nearly $500 among 3 couples. Bring Your Own Wine was the only good experience.

Delicious steak but lacks consistency. My wife and I ordered the same piece and same cooking but received two different steaks at different cooking stages. My wife's piece was way thicker than mine and was a tad undercooked.Otherwise a very good dish. Decent size.Bring your wine and no bread on the table while waiting, you have to ask and pay for it.Outstanding service, nice staff and very friendly.We had a very nice evening.Was first time there, will go again.

Fantastic place to eat. Warm and inviting atmosphere with perfect background music. Not always the way in a lot of restaurants these days. The service was orofessinal, friendly, and impeccable. My friend and i ordered soup and casaer salads, as well as steak and fries. The steak was cooked to perfection. Incredibly tender. We ended our dinner with a profiterole, which we shared. It was quite a bit larger than I expected, so sharing it was perfect as it was the sweet we desired after a perfect meal. Highly recommended.

This place is something else... Probably some tourist trap..Me and my buddy went out on a Saturday night , each ordered a steak. Me a ribeye, him a new York striploin.Food came pretty fast. Too fast. My steak was rare rare rare. And so did my friends. I could have cooked it better myself. I actually couldn't finish my meal. Another thing that irked me, was there is literally nothing special about the meat, or how they cook it, there is no kind of any seasoning whatsoever. You'd think if you are in Montreal, you'd be getting a Montreal steak house experience?? That was just a steak.. massive letdown.The whole time I'm eating, I was also being watched by the fat front door man, which also made me quite uncomfortable during my dining experience. He just sits there and stares at you.When I left $1 tip the fat guy then started getting loud and aggressive with me, saying I need to tip 15% , started retyping into the machine for me to make a second payment, and being extremely aggressive about it. I was firm with my answer. You make steak and fries. That's all you do, and you can't even cook it right. That meal cost me $80. A more timid person would have easily been taken advantage of by this. Excellent way to leave a sour taste in your mouth dining in this city. Poor service is no tip plain and simple.Next time I'll actually find somewhere that gives a real authentic experience, with nice staff and a good cook. Nothing sticks out about this place except for wine drinkers.

First of all, taste and quality of food was great for our complete party.I ordered a filet steak and due to "medium-well" cooked they said they needed to do a butterfly cut. Again, taste was good but it looked like something overrun on the street, absolutely nothing for the eye and there was no pink inside, fully cooked.If your chef can't do a filet without cutting in half he should learn because others can and leave the filet intact.
