Nothing exceptional. I would have given 3 stars but the pictures were so far from reality. The shrimp sando was good, but the chicken very disappointing.

(Translated by Google) Not really convinced by the sandwich, it lacks a little sauce, the Kastu one really has a big piece of meat, it should be cut into a slice.

Ordered online. Food was cold, very less quantity and taste was not that good.

Always feels risky to try a new-ish joint without many reviews, but this was awesome! Amazing fried chicken, and the spicy sandwich was the perfect heat level. All the food is well priced, and it's easy to add-on a few pieces of fried chicken if you're extra hungry. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Japanese fried chicken, or anyone who wants to try a new style of it (and I'd say the best way to make fried chicken!)

Yeah.... it's fantastic.

The burger and sando were ok. For the rest, the portion was smaller than we expected, not worth the price ...

The Kinka group did an amazing job in pivoting thei restaurant model to one that works better during the pandemic. In searching for a great fried chicken place, I stumbled upon Tokyo Sando and was surprised to learn that it was located inside the Kinka Izakaya on Ste. Cath Ouest. More surprising, though, was how GOOD it was. My better half ordered the spicy karaage sando and, I opted for the ebi (shrimp) sandwich. And I'm so glad I did - it was love at first bite. I didn't try the spicy karaage sandwich (as I'm not so good with spicy things) but my ebi sandwich was incredible - like nothing I've had before. It was breaded shrimp with a hint of truffle and the slight tang of pickled cabbage, not one taste overpowering the other but working perfectly together. To satisfy my own fried chicken craving, I decided to also get the black sesame 3-piece chicken as well as the Tokyo fries (fries covered in Japanese mayo, seaweed, bonito flakes and green onions). The karaage was not as crispy as I'd hoped (due largely to the fact that it was covered in the black sesame sauce) but it was tasty! The fries were fine, though it didn't matter anyway as I was too full from inhaling my ebi sandwich. Will definitely be coming back to fulfill a craving to be sure.

(Translated by Google) One of the best fried chicken burger I have eaten in Montreal! The chicken is really tasty and juicy. I also ordered a Shagoyaki Sando, which is a pork burger marinated with ginger, very very good! The wings are excellent too.The fries are still pretty commonplace, but I still enjoyed the combination of the Tokyo Fries (with dried bonito and nori filament). Regular fries don't really have any flavor.I highly recommend for Karaage and Fried Chicken fans like me !!(Original)Un des meilleurs burger au poulet frit que j'ai pu manger à Montréal !

Their spicy burger is really tasty and the Tokyo fries are super good, very flavourful. I think the burger could be spicier though.

The future of the restaurant industry! A virtual restaurant by the Kinka Group, offering delivery & pickup. We ordered their Japanese sandwiches, Karaage Sando & Spicy Karaage Sando. The sandwiches were excellent! Taste, portions, quality of ingredients was 10/10. The sandwich was a simple combination of Karaage Chicken & sauces but worked great together. Would definitely recommend this establishment!

One of the best food cart experiences I have had in a while... This place has umami down! I drool as I write this review. Chicken nanban was my favorite. Tried them all except the egg sandwich. Scotch egg caught my eye but can get a little heavy, still good though. Definitely my favorite food cart in Oregon!

While this place has 'officially temporarily' closed - much to everyone's surprise - I wanted to give this couple-run Japanese sando shop a warm shoutout and review. Please see below: Japanese-style sandwiches are becoming an American trend like the ube and hojicha flavors that have swept across the nation (ok; maybe that's an exaggeration). In Seattle (where I currently reside; hopefully not for long), we have Sandwich House TRES in the Bellevue area. Here in my hometown of P-Town, we have/had Tokyo Sando PDX. The 3 flavors we tried at Tokyo Sando were 1) Super Egg Salad, 2) Chicken Nanban, and 3) Miso Scotch Egg. All 3 were EXCELLENT! Super Egg Salad seems so standard - egg salad sandwiches are a white person invention after all - but it's got a very umami flavor that makes it different from what I've had when I was little. Similarly, the Chicken Nanban was nicely fried and panko breaded with an appropriate complement of crunchy purple cabbage. Chicken Nanban is originally a bread-less specialty in the Kyushu area of Japan (I want to say Miyazaki Prefecture?) so I was pleasantly surprised to see this in sandwich form, AND Portland of all places. Finally, the Miso Scotch Egg gets a 10 out of 10 in my book for flavor and innovation! What a great combo and way to blend East and West together. I will note that you'll have to eat these aesthetically-pleasing sandwiches quickly or else the bread can get soggy. Will say, though, that these were filling AF so you will get your money's worth by just ordering a few and sharing with others. Hope this place comes back next Feb/March (maybe?) - I'm sure people will be anticipating its return!
