We had high expectations since we love the counter at Gyoza on Mont-Royal and chose the tasting menu, which we were completely disappointed with. Cold dishes and soups, lack of flavor, over-oiled mushrooms, lack of cooking with Agedashi tofu creating an unpleasant texture in the mouth. The highlight of the meal was the sea grapes and mocktails/cocktails.We had reserved at the bar, but were placed very close to the entrance, the lanterns were piled up next to us, unlit. Lack of atmosphere and light.Service ok, but nothing more: our dishes sometimes remained on the counter for a long time, in full view, without being served, with confusion between the servers on who to give the dishes to, which explains their temperature....Disappointing experience.

Great atmosphere and a good variety of choices on the menu?? (I really liked the tofu, karaage and shishito)Just know that the restaurant is often packed so I recommend making a reservation in advance unless you are okay with being at the bar ?
Food was out of this world, the flavors complemented each other perfectly. For someone who usually dislikes going to restaurants because I know I can something better at home, I think this was bomb. However, the service was kinda a bit weird and the server kinda made me feel like I always had to take more. Other than that the atmosphere was busy but enjoyable.
Had my first ramen and Japanese pancake here. Absolutely delicious! I recommend the Okonomiyaki.

3rd time going and never fails. Brought a non vegan friend and he was really impressed with the food . We shared the Okonomiyaki and the dumplings to start with and both were excellent, especially the Okonomiyaki. I had the tantanmen ramen and it was very flavourful. Good have been a bit more spicy though. The service was also excellent and our waiter took the time to walk us through the menu and check in on us throughout the meal despite it being a very busy night .

L'attente pour commander et être servie est plutôt longue, même si on a réservé. Sinon les ramens que l'on as pris étaient trop riche en saveur, alors après quelque bouchées cela n'était plus agréable. Le reste était génial, service, ambiance. Nous avons vraiment aimé les cocktails, desserts, apéritifs ainsi que la présentation d'une grande beauté.

Ordered the eggplant (note that this dish is served cold) and tempura (delicious) as appetizers followed by a ramen with a fake egg on top (made from tomatoes I think the server said). The food is thoughtfully prepared and you can see into the kitchen from the bar stool area. They take pride in their dishes here - delicious across the board. Worth an Uber ride from across town to try this restaurant. You'll need a reservation so book before you go.
