We came as a group, everything had been perfectly organized, we had a very good lunch and the waiters were professional and quick

So disappointed to be writing this review. This place has gone seriously downhill. They're in a great location right beside the basilica, the place is large and clean with lots of seating and big windows with a nice view of old Montreal. My boyfriend and I used to love to come here since their coffee was very good. Unfortunately the last few times we came here it was a disappointment. Staff looks disinterested and zero energy.pastries look very unappealing , small and dry. The cappuccino tasted insanely bitter and burned , my matcha latte wasn't drinkable , their first attempt tasted like steamed milk only and their second attempt tasted like old water with some matcha inside and a touch of foam on top of it. I'm so sad that this place is no longer putting out the quality they used to, I won't be coming here anymore. If you're in the area and want great coffee try Tommy cafe or Melk instead.

Delicious pastry and a great cup of coffee!! If we’re ever back in the area, would surely stop in!

So I walked in here before my dance class looking for a healthy snack. I had the greek yogurt, with granola and honey. I have to say the yogurt quality was Very good! Not what I was expecting for a cafe. Definitely would go back.

Xavier Artisan is a nice coffee shop and lunch place across from the Notre-Dame Basilica. We stopped in to get some coffee after the organ recital we attended at Notre-Dame. We took a window seat so we could do some people watching. The coffee was very good and the view quite interesting. Through the window, we could see the Xavier Artisan Delivery Bike! GO Xavier Artisan!! – Save on gas!! We could also see Notre-Dame Basilica from our window seats and the construction work going on to the towers. I wouldn’t want to be one of the workers that high up in the cage atop the crane!

The lovely wife and I stopped here for a coffee after visiting the cathedral. Simply the best latte we had in 3 days. Recommended by us

Nice cafe just in front of the cathedral. Great place for a quick bite at a fair price. Have stopped in several times this week but this morning I had a croissant with ham, cheese and tomato with a large brewed coffee for $10.00. The croissant was very good and coffee was just right- bold but not burnt. Lots of seating inside and 7 tables on the sidewalk.

On the edge of Place D’armes, Xavier Artisan sits at the top of old Montreal. It’s a great location for a quick bite to eat while touring old Montreal. It’s a walk up, service at the counter cafe with an industrial, exposed roof feel. This cafe sits closer to the $$ rather than the $$$ with sandwiches ranging between $8-12. We had a Montreal smoked meat sandwich and the “New Yorker.” The Montreal smoked meat sandwich had excellent flavour with a good balance between the Dijon mustard and pickled onions. However it was quite light on the meat compared to most. The “New Yorker” was a pretty average club sandwich with turkey and bacon, but the bread was good. They also have a good selection of local beer and pastries.

Yummy coffee and great macadamia cranberry cookies. The lemon poppyseed cake was a bit dry. Excellent service and super location!

Dropped in for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich several weeks ago while visiting Montreal. Cute interior and great location, but the service is confusing and beyond slow. There is really no order or organization to when the coffees/drinks come out and we waited for quite a long time just to get a drink. Overall, would avoid this place in the future.

A wonderful spot for a pastry, coffee and tea. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Across the street from the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montréal. Pastries are very light and tasty!!!

Were in the area for our morning walk and remembered this location from a previous visit to Montreal. Not a whole of items to choose from but selected a (warm) ham/cheese panini, orange juice and an excellent Capucino. We took our breakfast to the outside patio and watched the Place d' Armes crowds on a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning. The biggest surprise is the very reasonable bill.
