I wish I hadn't had to post this review here if I had received messages back via the restaurant's delivery app with apologies for two disastrous meals. The first in winter 2023 - experience shared on social networks at the time because never published on the delivery site itself. After a pleasant meal in Damascus, I decided to order the Lamb Sharwarma Saj. What happened to me did not look at all like the photo. A brown mush with green and yellow stuff, that tasted only like pickles, compressed and burned in the panini press or equivalent. I didn't mind it afterwards but the second experience was worse and it was my daughter who paid the price. She ordered a Chicken Shawarma Saj on March 10, 2024 without knowing my experience. Result shortly after food poisoning with classic symptoms. She hadn't eaten anything else. Two messages sent privately via the delivery application without return. It's a shame because Middle Eastern cuisine is fantastic. Beware when there are too many rave reviews...

Food is good but RIDICULOUSLY small portion sizes for the price. The shawarma plate only had 3 slices of potatoes and we received only 2 small pita bread… This meal was not worth the 160$ we paid for.The fresh foods (beet mutabbal dip and fried cheese borek) were very good. The foods to reheat (chicken shawarma and kibbeh) were no longer freshly made as before but stored sous-vide, and were dry and lacking flavour.We had amazing takeout from Damas before (prior to Folfol) and we are very disappointed.
Just went and bought 2 saj chicken shawarma, 1 cheese borek, hummous and a drink. I have to say that the taste was just ok for the sandwich: too many spices and it’s overpowering compared to other chicken shawarma sandwiches i’ve had elsewhere. Would i go back no.

So good job.My only comment is the fried shrimps were so dry and so harsh, they were uneatable, it might be because it was a delivery and this plate isn’t meant to wait too long, so might be a dish best-served at the restaurant only?Otherwise, definitely will try again!

Absolutely thrilled that I disregarded the negative reviews and took the plunge with FolFol for my inaugural order which I don't regret at all! Opted for the lamb and chicken shawarma saj, and hands down, this is by faaaaar the finest shawarma I've had here in Montreal at least for the last decade! The hummus and mutabbal are out of this world! and the Yalanji was a delectable delight. The mixed baklava was a symphony of flavors with each bite. Yummy ?Of course, this isn't your run-of-the-mill Shami restaurant dishing out hefty, flavorless servings to stuff your stomach with spice. No, it's a culinary haven that leaves your stomach content, not overstuffed, and beckons all your taste buds to revel in their full glory. A++ recommendation for fellow food enthusiasts. Cheers!

The lamb shawarma was quite tasty yes, but not worth the ~$29 paid. Also, service was awful, staff refused to omit pickles from my wrap, saying that “management did not allow any modifications”. When asked if they would omit them if I was allergic, answer was still no.

This is a high quality take out place with many options that may look overpriced but the ingredients are high quality and the portions are filling. We especially love their hummus, mutabbal, kibbeh aux pistaches, Saj lamb shawarma and halawet Al jibn.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options to choose from including all the dips.
