I come to this place often. Usually it's crowded and the ice cream is worth the wait in line. Today I was very disappointed with the ice cream. There were 4 of us and it wasn't fresh. The place needs a bit of renovation and cleaning.It didn't smell good at all. On the other hand, the person who served us was extremely kind and did it with a smile.

After an exceptional dinner, we needed some dessert and ended up here around 7 on a Sunday. A smaller shop with regular/high top tables and some outdoor seating. A good selection of Ice Cream/Sorbet flavors and toppings. We saw Sweet/savory Crepes on the menu also.My friend ordered a triple-Milk Chocolate, Raspberry and Carmel. I got Choco Choc and Cafe. Ice Cream was rich, intense and delicious. Friendly people behind the counter. If you're in the Outremont neighborhood, don't miss this one!

A popular local chain, Bilboquet serves over two dozen flavors of ice cream and over a dozen flavors of sorbet. This Outremont outlet looked cozy and inviting when I stopped by, with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating.As for the ice cream, the cacaophonie is a solid bet: a rich dark chocolate ice cream as the base, mixed with white chocolate chunks and cashews. The ice cream would have been solid enough on its own, but was a nicely textured and nuanced treat when combined with the crunchiness of the white chunks and cashews. If you're watching calories, a single scoop should suffice, as the ice cream itself was, again, super rich and dark.Service was somewhat leisurely even though there were multiple folks behind the counter, but part of this was because they make crepes, which require a certain amount of labor and attention. All in all, a solid local find in a pretty neighborhood.
