A real Korean restaurant whose food has kept its origins. Here, we have the impression of being in Korea in our city of Quebec.

For a first experience, we really liked it. We didn't really know what to expect or where to start. It was lucky that we were guided through the menu a little. We will have to come back, there was a lot of choice. Slightly expensive alcohol.

I'm sad to write this review because I think the restaurant has a lot of potential, but my boyfriend and I were very disappointed with our experience at Bab Sang. It's a shame, because there is definitely a lack of authentic Korean restaurants in Quebec and the staff at Bab Sang are very friendly. We had reserved in advance, but upon arriving there, the waitress informed us that due to a lack of staff, service would be longer this evening. We ended up waiting almost an hour and a half after ordering before receiving our meal, which was also lukewarm. There is a difference between a long service and an hour and a half wait to eat, especially when the restaurant is almost empty. Having known in advance, we could have gone elsewhere, the waitress should have warned us at the time of booking. The quality of the food was average, and the portions were simply unacceptable for the price charged. For $7, we received 12 pieces of kimchi. Cabbage is expensive. In any other Korean restaurant in Montreal or Toronto, kimchi is provided with the meal in banchan and unlimited options. We also had tteokbokkis, and the egg in it was so cooked that the yolk had turned gray and mushy. The sauce was as liquid as water and there were around fifteen tteokbokkis in the dish which is supposed to be a main meal.We left there feeling like we had been had. The experience made us nostalgic for Korean restaurants in Toronto more than anything else. Lack of manpower is no excuse for such service, and with a limited menu, missing out on classic recipes like tteokbokkis is unthinkable. We probably won't return unless there is a serious change.

The atmosphere was good, but unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour to get our food... and the portion of the food is absolutely not profitable. We were very disappointed…Unfortunately, I would not return until a potential change!

Korean fare is rare in the Québec region. So, all things considered, Bab Sang is alright. Located on lovely avenue Maguire, it serves authentic Korean that's mostly flavourful. However, the portions are too small, particularly for the prices, and there are no included side dishes served with meals. My rating would go up if they fixed those two shortfalls.

Worst korean restaurant ever unfortunately... I feel ashamed to see this quality restaurant is rated high ratings by non-koreans. There are so much better real korean restaurants for non-koreans to enjoy.

My family and I were so disappointed at the quality of the food and how tiny the portion of the food was.All of the food we ordered including seafood pancake tasted so bad (far from being authentic) and the portion of ddeok-bok-gi & kim-mal-e were shockingly small. Even after factoring in this restaurant being in quebec, the price point and size portion of the food were NOT acceptable.Out of everything, grape flavor soju was the WORST.. It was to the point where we actually felt humiliated….!We never expected soju will come with polapo ice cream stuck upside down in a small cup. We were simply expecting to see the same as bottled grape flavour soju but just at a smaller portion but it was certainly NOT the case and we had to dump our soju cause of this weird unauthentic combination of alcohol + ice cream (it was too sweet) that we never seen in our lives to this date just until today.Very expensive for what you get in terms of the quality and the portion. Parking was also hard to find.We definitely can’t believe how this place has 4.5 star reviews. We highly do NOT recommend…

Not worth it. We waited for 30 mins. Food is too salty and there is no good options of soup.

Service was great, very friendly. The style of the restaurant was great. But the food despite reviews, were mediocre for korean food and overly expensive. The 야채김밥/vegetable kimbab was mostly rice, cut too big, and wasn't really real vegetable style Kimbab, for what it was it was expensive. The 김치 볶음밥 was decent, but a bit mushy. The Chicken Katsu was average, more sauce was needed. It would have been nice if they had actual 돈까스/ pork cutlets.

We were here with a group of 5 people for dinner on Saturday. There was no wait time to be seated. The menu is basically in French only. No English menu was available. However, you can guess somewhat. No pictures in the menus, which could be improved. The wait time for food is on the long side as this is indeed a busy spot. The tastes are good. The price is on the high side as this is a tourism area.Vegetarian options: Some Salads and vegetarian appetizers are available.Parking: Very few spots for paid street parking. There are parking garages in good walking distance.
