Such a wonderful experience! French toast was delicious and the cats were a joy to be around. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

An exceptionally bad experience. The interior smelled really bad and the hostess/waitress was really rude. The two people at the establishment were on their cell phones and seemed disturbed to see us. Besides the pestilential smell, and the more than unpleasant waitress, the atmosphere inside was at the height of the strange. The cats looked unwell and sick, as if they themselves were telling us to leave. We then left immediately. Certainly a nice place in other circumstances. Really disappointed.

It’s always a pleasure to go and take a Maiden in the good company of the owner! Thank you for listening, but also for sharing. It’s a delight to come see you.The menu is suitable for those who want vegan dishes and everything I have tasted to date has been delicious!

Good and pleasant snack break, relaxing atmosphere, the cats walk around or sleep, they entertain us.

The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The cats and dog were all adorable and clearly well loved / cared for. The food was great and I love the mission of their establishment - to support veterans in their recovery and raise awareness while also hiring people with autism, Down syndrome, and (of course) other veterans.

A clean and quiet place, the cats are, like the employees, very welcoming. The menu offers sweet and savory options at very good prices. And what's more, it's all for the good cause of animals and veterans.

I don’t understand how this place has a 4.4 rating. My first impressions walking in were that the intense smell was simply not hygienic, especially for a cafe that sells food and drink, and that it overall looked like someone’s basement sitting room when they weren’t expecting company to show up.Someone working there immediately instructed me to go wash my hands before I touched anything (fine, I get it it but also… hello, how are you?) and then to sit down and wait for one of the other people to come take my order. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to pet the cats, move from my spot, it was all very strange and uncomfortable.I ordered a tea to be polite but after listening to the employee’s wet, phlegmy, hack of a cough and whatever videos they were watching on their phone for 10 minutes - that was enough for me.I paid over $4 for a tea I didn’t even touch, politely declined to make a donation that I don’t feel confident actually goes to the care and well being of the cats and got out of there as quickly as I felt they wanted me gone.Overall such an uncomfortable experience.Edit: the smell I described was not dirty feet, it was dirty litter and the smell of too many animals not cleaned up after frequently enough. Again, between that and the relentless wet coughing of the person working there, this is not a cafe I would ever recommend for consuming food or drink. It’s unfortunate that the owner’s response demands more kindness and empathy on my part but is full of so much judgment towards me and how I navigate the world. It solidifies my feelings of this negative experience and I just hope the cats live long and happy lives✌️

Visited while waiting for our train back to Ottawa today. Such a great little cafe! Small veteran owned business! The coffee and Americano were amazing. Croissant was tasty - meant for my son but I ate most of it ?. Loved being able to pet the cats anytime. One you need to watch - he’s a mooch lol. Love a business who employs people with disabilities specifically those with ASD, we brought my son here who is on the spectrum and I was able to show him how to be gentle with cats knowing he wouldn’t be judged or told no. Very welcoming! Will visit again when I’m back in Quebec City!

Nice place to take a break and enjoy an unusual atmosphere with pretty cats everywhere and very soft

Very bad experience at this cafe. Cold welcome, not at all warm. We felt so bad that we decided to go to another feline café in the area (cafe chat-nous) where we were welcomed by smiling, warm, friendly owners who were happy to welcome us!
