Très déçu de l'expérience ! Le service est bien mais la nourriture est ordinaire et les prix sont déraisonnables pour cette qualité de plat.

Visiting Le Sam Bistrot Évolution at the Château Frontenac was an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional, offering a delightful array of flavors that spoke of high-quality ingredients and culinary expertise. What truly set this dining experience apart was the breathtaking view. Overlooking the scenic vistas, the restaurant provided a mesmerizing backdrop that enhanced every moment of our meal. Additionally, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. I highly recommend Bistrot Sam for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in a stunning location.

Ask for a place along the windows to have one of the most beautiful views of the Saint Lawrence from a restaurant. We pay for the view. The service is intended to be high-end but it is less good than in certain places where a lower standard is expected. We didn't taste the dishes. Just desserts. The pie was excellent. However, the quality of the gourmet café's sweet treats was not up to par.70 dollars before tip for what's in the photos.

Hard to give more. Bistro on Saturday… girlfriend and I went for a date. The server himself was impeccable and very helpful. On the other hand, we had waited almost an hour and a half for our starter: a simple plate of cold meats and cheese (quite expensive thank you, but we expected it). The problem being that some fruits were moldy!! Well let's see, at the price we pay I would have liked the few fruits on the plate to be tempting... after this decent starter, we waited almost an hour for our main course. My girlfriend did not receive the steak she wanted, which is fine. But the replacement cup was not worth the price at all. We weren't talking about the filet mignon we paid for. In short, for the price, we would have done better at home. The atmosphere was perfect.

Certainly an idyllic and touristy place for Quebec, and the establishment takes advantage of it greedily. Let me explain: we certainly ate well, that being said, charging $22 for a glass of wine, dear Sam Bistro, is a steal, nothing more, nothing less. Considering the wine served, this is in no way justified and I frankly hope that you will read my review and that your manager will take note of it (and there is no need to come back to me with import costs, Quebec taxes and I in passing: this-is-not-justified) This is a practice whose sole aim is to gain as much favor as possible for the customer, period). So unfortunately, and just for that reason, I will not come back to it and I will kindly move on but not without expressing my dissatisfaction. There are a thousand other pretty little places in Quebec that serve you local food that is just as good and with a glass of wine (if it happens to be the same) at a price that doesn't scream in your face that someone is going to rob you in good and due forms. Word to the wise, hello.

Unfortunately we will never dine here again, the experience was that bad. Avoid eating here at all costs. The food selection is poor and only matched in its crapulence by how extremely rude the staff waiter was. He clearly hated serving Americans and even slammed the waters down on the table so hard that they spilled everywhere and then walked away without cleaning it up. We watched him ignore our table, not bothering to get more water after we drank the half glass that was left. The food was boring, bland, and very over priced. Very surprised such a place was in the Frontenac. The only good thing is their pastry chef.

Really disappointing dinner experience at such a luxury hotel. We were guests for one night in the Chateau and decided to have a late dinner to celebrate the start my husband's birthday weekend. The restaurant seemed short staffed, and while our server was polite, they were preoccupied with other tables and paid us little attention since we didn't order any drinks. The decor is also very beautiful with nice views of the river. However, the food does not match the ambience. We were served bread that was horribly stale and tasted as though it had been frozen before. The ceasar salad ($18) was bland and underdressed. The Chateau burger ($30) was inedible - dry, limp lettuce, and beyond overcooked, as if it had been sitting under the heat lamps for an hour. Our server tried to tell us that it's because beef has to be cooked to a certain temperature in Canada (I think that they thought that we were foreigners even though we're from Toronto), which simply isn't the case. They did take it off the bill, but we left hungry and disappointed with our experience.
