We got a table on the bar side. It would have been appreciated to ask us if it suited us given the loud music and the people talking very loudly, even shouting. The person who poured water into our glasses poured half of it aside and didn't wipe it up. So I took my napkin to wipe it off. As for the drinks service, nothing to say. For the starter, we took the one to share. It was all in all ok but the potato 'skins' were cold. For main courses, I had the hamburger. What a surprise on my first bite: no condiment. I was waiting to see our waitress to ask her for condiments but as I didn't see her after a long time I asked another waiter. The burger was neither good nor bad, just ordinary. Decent fries and excellent coleslaw! I would have taken more! My partner had the $48 steak which is supposed to be the most popular and the best! He asked for medium cooking. For the first half the cooking was good. But the 2nd half was very rare, bordering on blue. He ate it anyway because at that price, he didn't want to waste it, but really wasn't satisfied. Yes we could have returned it but we were often told to never return a plate in the kitchen! For a plate of this price, fresh vegetables rather than frozen would have been appropriate! And the sauce, liquid and not very tasty. He received his plate without a steak knife. He started cutting his steak with the butter knife because once again, no waitress around. The waiter helped us again. Luckily he was there! Plus he was smiling, unlike our waitress (Myriam I think). The taste of the steak was ok, nothing special and not very tender. The mushroom accompaniment was really excellent and the shrimp was good. Our waitress came to check on us towards the end of our meal to see if everything was ok. We had a table for 4 even though there were 2 of us. Lucky because we were left with empty cocktail glasses throughout the meal! A man came to take the 2nd table to give to a group he had just set up next to us. I have no problem with that but there is a way to do it! Ask us politely rather than packing the table without saying anything even though we had things on the table (my cell phone among others) and a drink that we hadn't finished. Quite ordinary!!! It was our first visit and our last! A bill of almost $200, no service and food not worth the price. As we didn't have any service, I left a tip commensurate with the service: 5%! Come to think of it, I shouldn’t have left any at all!

Prime rib au jus ordered medium rare and served medium rare. Well-cooked fries and buttery vegetables that are neither too raw nor overcooked... What more could you want? Nice wine list appropriate to the menu and type of restaurant...reasonably priced wine. For dessert, a perfect semi-cooked...almost crispy on the outside and runny on the inside. Impeccable and friendly service. We give a 4 for atmosphere because, for many reasons, your establishment is very popular with the "brewery" style. THANKS !

This is not the experience of the Texas Star of JG Mathers's lifetime. But, although devoid of the soul of the original restaurant, the food is succulent and the service attentive.

For my part, it was okay because we came for a show at the Zénith. Impeccable service, filet mignon 3 out of 5, perfect cooking. Extra shrimp was good. On the other hand, butterfly shrimp was cold and tasted weird. Very good pepper sauce. It's a beautiful restaurant.

I'm revising my review from 3 weeks ago because it was delicious and great service 3 weeks ago.Today, often empty dishes, cold food. Barely existing service. The plates remain stacked on the table. So many people, we couldn't move around. There were 11 of us and no one wants to go back. Damage...
