Order the smoked meat sandwich to go. Probably the worst smoked meat I’ve ever had in Montreal. It was stringy, full of fat and just overall a bad experience.

Just ordered a smoked meat lean for takeout, was disgusting . The meat was rubbery and loaded with fat, enough to make anyone choke. Never had a smoked meat sandwich so horrible from a place that claims to specialize selling smoked meat . Had to throw out the whole meal and not going back ever. Will not recommend to anyone , warn them only about choking on that meat. Very disappointed !!!!!

Visited Nickels when going for an appointment, didn't disappoint. Had missed going there since there's none left in out area. Had the smoke meat platter and I'd eas very good. Big portion and the waitress was very friendly and quick.

I usually go to this restaurant because it's the only place my kids will eat. My kids eat from the kids meal and usually get the hamburger with added cheese. I have asked for it a few times and I haven't been charged for it except on the last occasion. Keep in mind a kids meal is $8.99 and this time I was charged $4.99 for a slice of cheese. I understand that asking for something extra is going to get charged but I found that a bit much. When I questioned the charge, the waitress stated that it's a restaurant and the other times it must have been overlooked. Anyhow, needless to say that paying more thank half-price of the meal for 1 slice of cheese is quite greedy on the restaurants part and left a sour taste in mouth.

Very bad service! The waitress was nonchalant and looked like she seriously hated her job. She offered us table d'hôte for our meal, but then charged us individually (drink, starter and separate dessert) telling us that we "just had to tell her before she goes out the bill and that she could not guess. We realized this after paying the bill and she did not want to correct her mistake.The food was rather disappointing as well. Cold hamburger and reheated cheese sticks.Honestly, I don't recommend the experience. Save your money and go elsewhere!

I just had brunch with my family today and our waitress was absolutely adorable (darker blonde hair in a bun). Unfortunately, I caught said waitress being reprimanded by who I assume was her (dark-skinned) supervisor. He was obviously very upset and the whole interaction lasted long enough to affect our waitress (I think she must have cried a little and yet she managed to smile at all the customers). I think this is very unfair treatment because she was the only one serving at the table and no one else around.
