Tried this restaurant based on friends' recommendations and saw that it was highly rated on Yelp. Good pita bread. Why they put it in plastic bags on the table is a mystery and not especially classy. Very little explanation that everything is served family style. If I wanted family style dining, I would have stayed home and cooked. We had a pricey vegetarian appetizer plate where most of the foods tasted too vinegary or garlicky. The eggplant salad tasted more of onion than eggplant. The fish was pretty good but by the time it finally came, I wasn't hungry anymore. The rice had no flavour and the fries, although nicely crisp also were tasteless. The taste I had of my partner's chocolate cake was good but cold in the middle as if it wasn't fully defrosted. The service was friendly yet not attentive. We had to ask for soda twice before it came. The constant reel of what I think was Lebanese music videos projected on the wall were a visually loud distraction from the overall lack of ambiance. The happy birthday music they play was fun, but we're not coming back.
