It's the most authentic Japanese cuisine I've ever eaten in Montreal. Located on the edge of the beautiful river, its environment is very calm. The restaurant is small but the decoration is very elegant. The ingredients are very fresh and the food is delicious. The boss is very enthusiastic and always has a smile on her face. There is parking next to the restaurant, but the space may not be enough. You must call ahead to reserve meals.

We had a delicious meal of sake steamed clam, sashimi platter, egg bowl with crab meat, and unagi don with egg.The only thing amiss was that the clams were overcooked and the flavor was gone. Everything else was really good. The Japanese puffy egg / omelette here is absolutely wonderful. Great texture and just the right amount of flavor. Opened my eyes to how good those can be.The sashimi offered here are all the fattier (not fatty) and rich types of salmon and tuna. While I understand that those are the more prized pieces, I personally would have liked a mix of lean and fattier pieces to cut down on the richness of the protein.Overall, highly recommend. The best Japanese place I've been to on the West-Island.

The best quality sushi I have EVER had!Presentation and quality far surpassed my expectations. Yes, it's expensive but I would dare to say it's better than any sashimi I have ever had. Will definitely be back.

Mont Brise has become our go-to sushi restaurant in Montreal. Mont Brise with its Uber talented and passionate Chef Yu and ever friendly Gia and Stanley are a joy to be with. Their passion to their craft is embodied in the freshest sushi, sashimi and the highest grade of sushi, seafood and meat dishes they serve. Once you try Mont Brise, you’ll be hooked, deliciously! Mont Brise is charmingly located in the bucolic riverside of Saint Anne de Bellevue.
