“Honestly just a fantastic restaurant, the food is great, the people are kind and welcoming. We order the choriqueso, the ceviche (which is a much larger quantity than we were expecting), the guac and the taco tuesday special and everything hit. The guac was flavourful, the ceviche was a fantastic quantity and quality, the choriqueso made my heart warm. Then the tacos, the tacos were just Chefs kiss. The cocktails are great and will be making this my new second home.“

She changes the menu once her ingredients run out so never expect to eat the same thing twice. “We were so hungry after a concert that there were no time for photos. We showed up 10 mins before closing, we were welcomed with open arms, the atmosphere was superb, the service was out of this world, the tortillas were fresh as can be, corn as they should be, and the tacos were flavourful and the guacamole was made visibly in house with real avocados. OMG the TRES LECHES cake is perfection, not too sweet, just the right amount of moisture - can’t say enough good things about it. The drinks were great. Honestly we haven’t had such a great time in a while, and it happened by chance. I would totally recommend this over any other taco place in Montreal!“

“Amazing tamales. We tried 2 of the four they have on offer. And their homemade hot sauce goes perfectly with them.Also tried the fried shrimp tacos. Really crispy battered shrimp, great sauce and perfect portion of 3 tacos.Also tried the pulled pork chilaquiles with avocado and egg which were out of this world.And of course the mandatory chips and fresh homemade guac.All that with 2 Jarritos came to about $65.It seems a touch expensive, but we did get a doggy bag and had enough for lunch the next day! So basically we managed 4 meals out of it.Nice selection of hot sauces to buy as well.“

We had chicken and beef birria which were fantastic, coupled with lovely paloma cocktails which we could have continued with on repeat no problem. A must try, cozy experience. “A restaurant that transports me to my beautiful Mexico, the food is incredibly delicious, the tongue tacos are a delicacy, the flank steak with cheese is another level, I had not found a restaurant in all of Mtl with flank steak. The service was impeccable, Mr. Noé was serving us and was very attentive and kind to us, he even ran out of the Sinaloa potato and he looked for a way to make it for me, that is GREAT SERVICE. “In desperate need to book a restaurant at the last minute, I called El Meson and asked to reserve a table for 8 people on that same day. The lady on the phone was super ? She was very understanding and helpful. I was able to reserve for 8 people last night for my partner's 26th birthday celebration ? Given that we were 8 people, I thought the food will take time to come in, but our plates started coming in very shortly after we ordered our meals... Everyone in our table had nothing but good things to say about the food. The portions were more than enough!!! Our friends said that the Carne Asada was cooked to perfection ?? My other friends enjoyed their Beef and Chicken tacos ? My partner liked his Pollo Barbacoa ? My Chicken Fajita was sizzling when it came to our table that one of my friends even commented and said that he also wishes that his food came in with sound effects ? Also, their secret hot sauce was so good that we wanted to buy a whole bottle of it ? “I visited from Houston Texas and the food at Mañana was very good. Growing up on the border of Texas and Mexico, the flavors reminded me of home. The server that took care of me was a lovely young lady and she did a wonderful job recommending food similar to that I mentioned I was craving. His service was pretty satisfactory, but his cooking was great! Menu had a nice variety of dishes spread between Salvadoran & Mexican cuisine. If it wasn't so out of the way for me, I'd come here on the regular & ensure he stays in business.“

“A little restaurant in the heart of Plateau with amazing, authentic mexican food for small prices. We discovered this gem on January 1st. The ambiance is really cool, a lot of Mexican decoration and murals inside. We ordered the J'ai faim taco mix and a quesadilla mix. When the food arrived, the dishes looked so fresh and delicious we didn't even think to take a picture, we just dived in. The cochinita was our favourite hands down. We left that restaurant with full bellies and a smile on our faces. We marked the spot because we will definitely be coming back!“

I went there with a friend on a Friday evening and we loved EVERYTHING about the meals!
