“It was our first time here. Our server was great! She knew her menu, made suggestions, was fun and responsive. The sushi was original, fresh and copious. The place didn't look like a traditional sushi place and it had loads of cool vibe going on. The hanging plants and vintage fixtures were a nice combo. Check this place out!“
“Although Kashima is located close to our home, I only discovered it recently following a neighbour's recommendation. Kashima prepares sushi for take-out only. I have been ordering a "small" sushi-sashimi combo. The sashimi is plentiful, very fresh and delicious, and the sushi also of excellent quality. The portions of wasabi and ginger are large and taste as if they were prepared especially for each order. The combo includes a small salad and a generous portion of miso soup. The price in view of the quality is extremely reasonable. Since discovering Kashima I have become a regular customer ( at least once a week), and l recommend it highly to those who appreciate good quality sushi and sashimi. For many years I lived in Vancouver, where sushi was plentiful, high quality, and reasonably priced. Kashima is the first restaurant I have found in Montreal that compares well to the sushi restaurants I enjoyed in Vancouver.“
“Ive tried both the red and the original curry sauce. I prefer lighter so I really enjoyed the lightly spicy red curry over chicken katsu. I love the flash fried broccoli, super tasty! The original curry is rich and has depth! I recommend this place if you want to try something different in the curry world!“
“The food was incredible. We had the cod croquette, maguro don, duck mazemen and pudding with a bit of sake. Everything was delicious, better than any croquette, duck or tuna we've ever had before. I just can't possibly emphasize enough how much I recommend it.The atmosphere was nice, pretty chill, the tables were quite close to each other but it's pretty common in such restaurants. No loud music which we really appreciated.The service was nice although they lacked professionalism. For example, they'll let you wait more than 10min (without apologizing for the wait) if you're polite and wait in the entrance to get seated, even if they saw you. I learnt from the people who came after us that you have to come in & stand in the middle of the way, only then will they happily seat you right away..“

Après commandé 5 repas reçu 4 et 15 min.à 20 min. plus tard reçu la 5ième entrée on m'avait oublié, pour se racheter il nous on offre 2 entrées genre oeuf visceux moyen comme goût. “A friend recommended this cosy awesome restaurant and today, I was passing by and decided to discover LeDon Donburi. Honestly the appetizer and main dish was delicious. The desert was succulent, I practically licked the bowl clean… actually a client was sitting nearby and said to me: “you know we all lick the bowl”. LOL The owner behind the counter is quite cool and has great conversation. Next time, I come out of the country, I’ll stop by again and hang out. I think they are open 4 pm till 10 pm, 5 days a week… reasonable hours, means for a business owner like myself, who comes to town every now and then. I’ll have time to come back and eat a great meal after my errands, before heading up home up north. It’s lovely to eat well till 10 pm! :-) Even the customers are cool! Thanks to the whole LeDon Donburi crew, I’ll be back!“

“A great izakaya with excellent price points. I've come to this place when it was first opened and I am glad to see this place has not only kept up with the quality expanded their operation as well. Between the 2 of us, we ordered 3 entrées, 1 yakitori and shared a dessert and the check came to $67 before tips. Excellent food and value. One girl was rather abrupt with her attitude but everyone else was nice and friendly.“

“We arrived for our reservation quite early but we were still able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and of course spoke both French and English. We enjoyed Edamame and Chicken Gyoza to start and then had the Park Maki and Bluefin Bluefin. The appetizers were good and the sushi was absolutely wonderful. Finally, we enjoyed an omakase dessert. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely return.“
