I was told by a friend to stop off in Guatemala on the way back from Costa Rica...and I asked 'What is in Guatemala??" She replied, "ANTIGUA!" I called immediately upon arrival to thank her! It is the cutest colonial town with many beautiful cathedrals delicious restaurants, and super friendly locas! I spent a week discovering what each cobbled stone street had to offer, and I can't recommend it enough to friends. I had absolutely no trouble or fear walking around day or night...read full review
