I went here and chose to speak English instead of Spanish bad idea cause the lady decided to scam me not only did she charge me for more things than I had she did it quickly and sneakily so I didn't see what she charged me for! I sent the receipt to my phone and seen she over charged me but not only that I asked for a pastry with caramel and told her she was giving me the wrong one she then proceeded to give me all of them wrong! Pineapple instead of caramel Needless to say they scam and over charge and they don't even give you the right items! Used to go here often now I will never return! The food sits there all day and the service is terrible.

They're food is always good my daughter's love they're food especially they're beans and pollo guidado and carne guisada, they're empanadas are really good. If you get their early the bunuelos and pan con queso and donuts with Nutella and powder sugar are a must have.

Whoo damn they open early at 4 am on the weekdays and for someone that is up all night that's awesome. Food selection was great and the food was delicious. Great and quick service, I'm so lucky to live closely. I should have gotten chile for my empanadas but damn they were great and the chorizo was amazing. The green Chile was hot but tasted great, lastly the bonuello and the queso Frito (fries cheese) wow freaking awesome. Unfortunately they don't sell beer at 5 am but hey we can't get everything we want. Definitely come check this place out and don't be afraid to go here if you don't speak Spanish. I feel confident someone there speaks English and also it's easy to point at what you want and pay.Wheelchair accessibility: There's handicap parking spots

The Fab Forty
The only place to get an empanada in Rhode Island. The pastries are to die for. Parking is very limited, so you may have to find a spot on the street, but the lines inside move pretty quickly. The Bunuelos are some of the best I have ever had. This is a must try place for anyone looking to get authentic Columbian food. You also cannot beat the prices.

Visited La Sorpresa today for baked goods and a plate for lunch, cafeteria-syulr. Baked goods were fresh. I loved the churros. The plate I ordered had white rice and beans, chicharrones, and I added a sausage on the side. Very filling. They do update the menu frequently. Staff doesn't really speak English, but they were fast and prompt. Although there is a lot of seating in the bakery, La Sorpresa to me feels more like a grab and go spot, especially when it is located on a busy main street. I'd definitely go back for another quick bite!
