Beer is great. Location is great. Decor is great. People are great. The deep fried fries looked great. But the smoke burned my eyes and I can’t get the smell out if my coat.

Buttonwoods Brewery was exactly the atmosphere I was hoping it would be for a day of relaxation, good beer and doing some work on my laptop in a relaxing casual vibes atmosphere. My GPS originally took me past the front of the building and I had to turn around and just assume the entrance was located on the backside of my building, which it was. The brewery is in an old mill, the floorboards creaked (which I love) in this industrial setting. Eclectic seating and squishy sofas in large space that didn’t feel cramped. The Peanut Butter Stout and Sour were really delicious! I enjoyed how they offer 6oz pours. I enjoyed this place so much I came back twice two weekends in a row. Parking was plentiful in the back. Staff was friendly.

Great space and good atmosphere. Came here for the second time to watch Brainscan. Would highly recommend if your looking for a new brewery to try. Definitely check out their events.

Fantastic spot in a Mill factory. Warm, cozy, eclectic theme with tables/chairs with a long bar /counter in the middle. Love the new set up vs the old one (same building,I went pre covid). Great beers, cute little snack shop to order food. They were setting up for trivia night so we left earlier than we wanted to but that's just not our vibe.Apponaug brewery is closed due to flooding so we picked some new places to try. We love it here. We will be back.

I've been in several times and the staff is always friendly! We've gone to trivia on Wednesdays a few times and it's fun. Make sure you check that day in history and who's born that day cause there are always questions about that! Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is cause they predominantly make IPAs and I don't like the variety. They have has a couple semi sours lately which are tasty!

This is a very long overdue review for Buttonwoods. 5/5 stars for the beer, the variety, and the ambiance. The first time I went to Buttonwoods was right before the pandemic. The space was warm and inviting—an honest-to-goodness hidden gem in RI. (Navigating the gravel industrial parking lot is a bit of an adventure, but that’s part of the unique charm.) We picked up beers curbside during the pandemic, and now we finally made it back this fall to see how the inside has changed. It’s a perfect refuge for anyone looking to spend a rainy weekend afternoon with friends or family. On the most recent visit I tried a bottle of First Breath, a Rustic Industrial Ale with Blueberries. It was crisp, perfectly tart, and bursting with blueberries. Their Pilsner was a highly crushable delight too. There’s really something for everyone on their tap list which is part of the joy of going. If someone in your group only drinks IPAs or sours, odds are they’re going to have something divine for either. From 2019 to now they’ve been putting out amazing product and we look forward to going back more regularly in 2024!

I attended Trivia night at Buttonwoods and had a splendid time. The beer is good but you probably know that already. The venue is positively post-Industrial and a nice warm spot tucked into an old mill building. There was a food menu themed after the trivia that night (Twin Peaks) and while I didn't partake my friends loved what they tried. The trivia host was exceptional. I plan to return for another of their trivia nights down the line.

Fantastic selection of pours and cans. Well crafted beers and sublime artwork. The food is quite good as well. The service is always friendly and they don't mind having a chat. Ample space to sit and chill. A nice niche place to spend sometime.

I started coming here for horror movie nights and beer and then they added food so I'm not really sure what else I could ask for.

I recently attended trivia night at Buttonwoods Brewery, and while I had a blast testing my knowledge, there was an unexpected drawback that left me somewhat conflicted.First off, let me say that the trivia night was a blast! The questions were engaging, and the atmosphere was lively. However, I couldn't help but notice that my enjoyment was tinged with discomfort as my nose started feeling like it was on fire, and my eyes began to water over the course of the two-hour event. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out that Buttonwoods Brewery has a kitchen right in the middle of the establishment complete with a fry cook station. Sounds cool, right? Except there's no ventilation in this kitchen, and no windows or oven vents to let out the cooking fumes. As the night went on and food orders piled up, the air quality took a nosedive. The brewery only has bay windows that are, unfortunately, inoperable for the casual visitor to open. This meant that as the evening progressed and the kitchen got busier, the air got thicker and less pleasant. Gradually, it felt like we were all inhaling more than just the excitement of trivia.Curiously, I chatted with one of the bartenders, who confirmed that yes, the air does get bad, and they resort to opening a window when it gets unbearable. But what's the plan for a more permanent solution? Opening windows won't work so well in the winter.I understand that the new kitchen setup might still be a work in progress, but in my opinion, this goes beyond a minor inconvenience. It feels like a potential health concern. All it might take is a bit of ventilation or an air purifier to turn things around. I've checked, and some top-rated air purifiers are affordable, around $50 according to recommendations from sources like Wirecutter.I'm no expert, but I can't help but wonder if this situation might even border on a health code violation. Good air quality is essential for everyone's comfort and well-being. I hope Buttonwoods Brewery takes this feedback constructively and considers investing in better air circulation or purification—it's an easy fix that could make a world of difference. Thanks for reading, and here's to better trivia nights ahead!Brendan
