My wife and I were going to Dees deli the day after Easter and it was closed. But remember seeing Mario's deli and I was turnoff by the logo but we decide to give it a try! And it was delicious! The bread had the perfect Italian roll bite. My wife order the chicken cutlet and it was fried to order not like other shops who warm up the cutlets In a microwave, I order the Italian grinder it was prepare with good cold cuts (but the ham) but it was so tasty.

New owners Stephen & Josh took this business over right before covid. They have made it thus far but no one really knows they serve breakfast now. I sent my husband to pick up breakfast & he got a sub. Still warm when he arrived home & we live in Buttonwoods. The Potatoes are seasoned perfectly and the bacon is not the cheap stuff yummy! I had sliced tomatoes that weren't green & hard like other restaurants this time of year. Help support your local business and do your safe favor and not cook and grab some food from Mario's.

Don't let the appearance fool you. Friendly and fast service; and most importantly, the food is delicious and portions are generous!! The pastrami was great. Stopped in for breakfast (weekends only) and that was yummy too. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back. Give it a try!

Spent $8 on a bread sandwich. Little piece of chicken cutlet inside. Not the chicken parms like before. Do not recommend. Spend your money at a real sandwich shop.

I took my family here for breakfast and loved it. The food was awesome and the staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly with little kids, the food came out quickly. I got the cheese steak omelette and it was awesome, great flavor without being over seasoned. The home fries were perfect soft center and crisp outside with just the right amount of seasoning. Wife got the classic bacon and eggs. Not sure what kind of bacon that was but I could go for just a plate load of that next time. The girls shared the kids' french toast and the picky toddler made short work of his which is about as high of an endorsement you can give any restaurant. It is a bit out of the way for us but heard great things. We will be back again, for certain.

I had such a wonderful experience at Mario's. The food was great. The subs are large and definitely woth the small prices. The sandwiches are amazing quality and have a lot inside them. The small sub pretty big. They have just opened up breakfast for Saturday and Sunday 7 AM-2 PM, and I went today, for their first breakfast day it went pretty smoothly. Not only do they have take-out and dine-in but they also have doordash. The staff are friendly and they were really good at seeing how we were doing and the food came out really quickly. I definitely recommend Mario's as a place to eat!

The best sausage and red peppers sub I’ve had in RI. They offer a varied menu of hot and cold sandwiches and soups and hard or soft rolls. I would definitely return?

Went to the Mario's Italian Deli roadside location just off of rt 44 in Johnston (I believe), RI- & was delighted. Been driving by it visiting grandkids for over a year now- saw it was open & ventured in. Small parking lots w/picnic tables out front proved to be my perfect lunch spot. Had the small (was great size) meatball grinder ($8), w/small fries ($3) , & a soda. $12.50 for a lunch I was barely able to finish- due to the sizes . Fantastic home made meatballs in a super fresh soft roll. Cant wait to go back & try the Italian grinder that most reviewers have raved about... Will definitely try the Cranston location too.
