This is your run of the mill antique diner! The people that work at the beacon are all nice. We get take out when we have to work the weekends from here. The scrambled eggs are my favorite, cooked awesome. There hash is shredded and good. The home fries are small diced and next time I would order them well done. They are now accepting credit cards but the tip isn't included on the slip. So a note for future is to bring cash to tip them out.

Stopped here for breakfast on our East Coast road trip. A great diner with good food and excellent service. Party of five and we all had different items and were very pleased with the food. Good old fashioned diner.

I have loved this little diner for many many years. It was my go to place for Johnny cakes. Johnny cakes are supposed to be thick and creamy on the inside with a slightly browned outer shell. I grew up on them as my mother always made them. The Beacon's Johnny cakes were always the same, but today I was served three virtually flat ones, almost potato chip quality. I was so disappointed! What happened? I will say that the blueberry pancake was yummy, and the coffee delicious. The home fries had a little after taste and were in bad need of seasoning. I was the only person in the section when I ordered and it wasn't busy at all. I don't know if my waitress let my food sit too long, but the butter I put on my pancakes barely melted, as the food was lukewarm at best. I have always enjoyed The Beacon, but to say I was disappointed is putting it mildly.

A classic American diner. Delightful employees, a fun classic atmosphere, and hearty and well-made food. Be sure to bring cash when you visit(as of my visit it was cash-only) but definitely give it a go for a nice weekend brunch.

Didn't know much about where to have breakfast this morning. I asked a local where she would eat and was recommended to go to Beacon Diner! Great food, especially the homemade hash! Will definitely come back again!
