We heard The Waysider was recently sold, so we figured we would Re-try this restaurant with the previous owner it was much better run, as Linda the old owner was always helping with all areas of the restaurant, as it was always busy. NOW this restaurant has a new owner and it's very disorganized. We have given it 2 attempts and we will Not be back . Our 1st visit after new ownership We were seated and the girl who seated us never asked if we wanted a drink , she sat us at our seats and she was sitting other patrons to their seats , brought them drinks and appetizers and we still were sitting there with not one employee asking us if we've been helped, we sat for 30 minutes with not 1 person coming to see if we needed anything. 2nd attempt as we decided to give it another try as we thought, new ownership they have to work out the Kinks. The same exact situation happens and this time a waitress walks by us and I said excuse me can we order a drink, she said I will be with as soon as I cash this table out. We patiently waited 20 minutes and she never returned while another waitress walked by us and I asked her if she could get us a drink, her response was , sorry this is not my table but I will get your waitress for you. We gave it another 5 minutes and once again walked out with another horrible experience . As East Greenwich has so many restaurants they need to get organized. We will not be giving The Waysider with the new owners a 3rd chance, as we have plenty of choices in the same neighborhood with a much better atmosphere, Bartenders and Wait staff . Word of mouth can either help you succeed or make you fail. Sorry you lost us , as we overtip when The Bartender and waitstaff deserve it.

I went here for a Saturday lunch with a group of six. We had no problem getting a seat as it wasn't busy. They have a nice draft selection which we enjoyed along with a few appetizers that we shared. We tried fried pickles, calamari and whipped feta. All were good. I had fish and chips which i enjoyed. Our server was super - friendly and efficient. good spot on route 1

Rule number 1 in owning a business, don’t mess with peoples money. Was charged for and given the wrong meal to-go. They were closing so the owner told me “she’d get me next time”. (This was what I planned to eat for the next couple days, so now I have no food and I’m out at least $30) It’s over a 30 minute drive, was only there to do trivia (which was very fun and the only salvation of the night).Following up the next day, (I followed up because I was completely blown away by her indifference the night before) l never even heard from her, she had the kind man who ran the trivia dealing with it, my options offered were that she’d cover my meal next time (by “cover”, you mean the one I already more than paid for?) or get refunded. I chose the refund, but then learned I’d have to go in on Wednesday afternoon, when she is there, to process it. Mindboggled a business owner could be so flippant when they completely messed up all around. They can keep the money and the food, I’ll never spend another dollar there and hope you pick to spend your money where they appreciate their customers a little more.

Long wait time for appetizers with only being half full. Made wings in the wrong sauce and then re spun them in the right sauce. Honey bbq with Buffalo sauce spread over it. Gross and unsanitary. Wrap was soggy with no flavor. Server was inattentive and slow. Not a care in the world to recoup the experience. First time here. Won’t be back.

Not sure why I keep giving this place a chance? These nasty chicken tenders make me wonder when the last time the oil was changed in the fryer?! Such a waste of money! In 2years of living in the area, I have not once had a good meal from the Waysider. So disappointing and disgusting.

Take out.. Pizza SUCKS. Burnt cheese on thick dough. Guessing it's Sisco frozen.I ate one bite and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My wife heated up a piece a bit later and wishes she didn't. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had, and I'm 72.

We stopped by for an after Thanksgiving weekend family get together. We were 18 people and they took our reservations for the high top bar area. Food was great. Get the bone in special pork chops, the best! Lively atmosphere with great legendary music. Service for a large party was great as well.

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL!!! This parking lot gets full, people trash it by leaving nips, and park in front of people’s homes. If you come and eat here please be mindful of the people who live in the area. I didn’t have a spot to park and did the same as everyone else, the people who live in that area let me know how they feel. This place has been a bedsore for everyone around. I don’t want to add to that. One and done.
