I ordered the Filet Mignon, it was the most delicious steak I have ever had in my life. Still dreaming about it to this day, it is a MUST HAVE!! Worth every penny and the portion size was perfect. Didn’t leave feeling hungry and didn’t need any takeout containers. The steak was so buttery and smooth, and the housemade sauce that they use for it was delicious. Not one thing to complain about, everything was exceptional. I also appreciate having a steak on the menu that is just as good as the seafood that they serve. I am not much of a seafood person, but went here on a date (my girlfriend loves lobster) and was very pleased to find something on the menu for me. It is clear that the staff take pride in their dishes and concentrate on perfecting every one of them. Especially with the summer months coming up, I highly recommend that you come and visit this place!

Looking for a small inviting space for great service and amazing food, this is it! Tables of different sorts and bar seating fills in quickly! Food was amazing as were cocktails! Very attentive! Went weekday opening 3 pm an it did fill in quickly! Closer than Matunuk Oyster Bar and closer to home!

Our visit to Greenwich Bay Oyster Bar was the worst experience ever. The lack of reservation system combined with the restaurant's small size resulted in a crowded and uncomfortable environment. Guests , who waited for the next available spot, were left standing in the main room, sandwiched between occupied tables. The presence of a bar where intoxicated patrons were allowed to become disruptive only added to the chaos. Furthermore, the quality of the food was bad! The dishes lacked creativity and were disappointingly salty, with heavy sauces that overwhelmed the palate. My lobster meal was a letdown; the meat was so tough and chewy. We were extremely disappointed

I want to give this all the stars but it's just so tiny that I felt one star had to come off. I love (almost) everything about it, the decor and the vibe- the fresh oysters were delicious during buck a shuck, but unfortunately we had a bad batch of shrimp cocktail. Maybe it was over cooked but it was absolutely awful. The rest of the food and drinks made up for it, so we were happy and didn't even mention it to our server. Probably just a one off. Scallops I had were delish, cooked to perfection and just how I like them. My BFF had the swordfish special and the risotto was bomb. I love the mermaid decor and vibe so I'm sold. It was my first time going there, but not my last. Wish I had gone sooner. Parking is lame but only because its Main Street EG. Dont miss out.

Interesting. The website says to call to book a reservation for Valentines Day. I called and the recording said to go to the website to make a reservation. :)

Greenwich Bay Oyster Bar was a delightful location to have dinner before a show at the Greenwich Odeum. After reviewing the menu online, my dining partner and I located parking on-road in the surrounding area and made our way to the location. I had no idea how small this location was! Glad we got there early before the major crowds rolled in because we were seated, enjoying our dinner, watching everyone gather trying to get a seat. I'm sure my review would have a different flavor if I was one of those patrons but the lesson to learn here is that you can enjoy the culinary delights of this location without too much hassle if you just plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to wait for a table. One drawback to their small footprint is that there really isn't anywhere to wait for a table but out in the cold or all crammed together in the entranceway. On to the food... I ordered the Shrimp Scampi which I was very pleased with. Absolutely full of flavor, very rich. A Salmon Burger arrived to our table as well and (wow!) it was massive!! I'm not into raw bar oysters but this location offers buck-a-shuck across various hours of the day. The display of oysters on ice behind the bar was impressive. Ended the meal with a gluttonous piece of peanut butter pie which left me satisfied in time for an evening of music. I would definitely return to this location but would perhaps choose an off-evening if not in the area for a show.

I absolutely love this place. The meals, drinks, and service are all fantastic. The only drawback is that there are a limited number of tables so I either have to go early, or wait for a table.

We landed here after leaving another restaurant before ordering dinner due to an extremely bad experience. The hostess, while very busy due to being short staff was super friendly, pleasant and helpful. We waited for a bit for a seat at the bar and was greeted by friendliness from everyone who worked there. Which honestly was balm to a wound after the restaurant we had just come from. We started with 2 each of the 4 featured oysters- fantastic! We went to fried oysters- perfection! I got lobster risotto and I got a little lost on this dish and it was my fault for not reading the fine print. Really it's 3 seared scallops on a lobster flavored risotto that had little bits of lobster meat in it. It appeared to be a popular dish and I can see why but it wasn't my thing. I wish the menu read "seared scallops on lobster risotto" as the headline to this dish. But again completely my fault for being distracted and not reading the fine print. My friend got the salmon special on butternut squash ravioli with a maple bourbon sauce... it looked fantastic! We ended with Pierre Ferrand cognac and creme brulee. Excellent!! Restaurant is small and decorated tasteful! Love the teal walls! We'll be back for sure!
