Really cute spot to visit- I’ve only been once but hope to return for the atmosphere. They close really early and I’ve repeatedly found myself driving over from the island to Kingston and on the way back narrowly missing the closing time for here. The service wasn’t great myInitial visit. I was overcharged and only caught it right when I was going to leave. It was a whole ordeal and I ended up having to wait around a lot while it was sorted when I had to get going. The food was pretty good and as I said- I hope to return to enjoy the cafe on a nice summer day.

A spontaneous stop for us. I am gluten free so I figured I wouldn’t get anything but my husband could. I was wrong! They had at least 4 baked goods for me to choose from. I got a ham and Asiago scone and raspberry muffin. Scone was delicious! Not that grainy texture usual in GF baked goods.Thank you for having options!!!!! So much appreciated ❤️.Service was excellent! She was super patient and personable:)Atmosphere was comfortable and I wish we could have sat for a while.

High marks all around. Baked goods but were great, coffee was good. But the standout was the breakfast sandwich. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my life, due to the delicious jalapeño bagel (the jalapeño was… candied or something, and it worked so well to complement the salty) and - get this - REAL thick-cut bacon. All strangely affordable given the quality and location. Between two coffees, a baked good, breakfast sandwich with bagel, sparkling water, and tip, it was less than $30. Not to mention a charming and welcoming atmosphere as well as a helpful and patient staff.Highly recommend this place for a peaceful start to your morning on Jamestown. I’d go out of my way to come here, even (especially?) from Newport.Parking: Didn’t have a problem finding parking, but I could see it being challenging during a busier hour. But the location does what they can to administer as much available space as possible.

Wonderful baked goods. The Asiago bagels, croissants, and fruit scones are my personal favorites, but there's lots of choice. Avocado toast is a real treat. Great breakfast and lunch sandwich selection. Excellent coffees. Plenty of indoor and outdoor (in season) seating, except perhaps during morning rush on a sunny summer weekend morning. Very charming atmosphere.

Het away from the tourists. Come to this place. The coffee, pastries and other fare at the Hearth are terrific, the efficient and friendly staff and the warm and casual ambiance make it an inviting place to meet up with friends -- or just by yourself.

This was the second time I've been to the Village Hearth since it got new owners in 2020. I think I need to start going more often! We had to park down the road a bit as there were lots of people already here on a Saturday morning. We only had to wait a few minutes to place our order and all the staff were friendly. We got a chai latte with oat milk (loved the cinnamon sprinkled on top), ham and Asiago scone (yum) and two breakfast sandwiches. The sausage in the sandwich was a homemade patty that was perfect in a sandwich. One sandwich was on a cheddar jalapeño bagel where the jalapeños were not spicy but added good flavor but the bagel was a little oily with the sandwich, maybe specifically ask for no butter. The biscuit was A plus! The business is woman owned and LBGTQ friendly (and a dog came in to say hello - not clear if dogs are allowed in or just friends of the employees). Great place to grab breakfast or a tasty baked treat when around Jamestown.

I absolutely LOVE this bakery and cafe! We stopped in quite early on a cold Saturday morning, and were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the counter. We admittedly made a complicated order with a lot of different elements, and everything was perfect. My bagel, a smoked salmon, was positively delicious! We stayed to eat and have our coffees, playing checkers and chatting, and we watched a lot of regulars come and go and chat with the staff while we were at our table - it was such a nice atmosphere. I cannot say enough good things!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free options that are readily available! We took a GF cranberry and GF peach muffin to go, and they were fantastic.

Stopped in to try the roast beef sandwich. It was pretty impressed with the quality of the roast beef. Unfortunately the role was very chewy and I couldn't actually bite through it. I ended up eating the inside bread and leaving the crust. Coffee was good. Service was good. I definitely would return if I was in the area and try something different

This place was a hidden gem. The coffee was amazing and the baked goods were to die for. The vibes were so great in here. There were tables inside to sit and it was so cozy and cute. There were also great outdoor patios seating too. I wish I could have just sat here all day and read and sipped delicious coffee.
