Got the general taos combo bro lemme tell you sum. The sauce literally tasted like ketchup cmon now that's laughable. Only good thing was the fried rice and even that was just ok terrible spot for sure nice try tho :)

Food is greasy and the place is filthy - I would not recommend going to this restaurant

Delicious food. I ordered takeout on a whim and I'm glad I took the chance. Chicken and broccoli & chicken wings.

The food here doesn't make me sick everrrr. I have been coming here for years. The inside is very cute & peaceful for dining, the prices are $ veryyyy decent , they have a small bar anddd they have the best wonton chips with duck sauce ever. Deff one of my go to places for take out BY FAR.

Since I moved from NYC back in 2018 I haven't been able to find a consistently good Chinese-American restaurant and this is the only one that has come closest to It. I ordered fried chicken wings ( about 8 pieces ) with plain fried rice and steamed dumplings. The dumplings weren't the greatest but the wings. The wings were the winner for me. Definitely ordering from here again.

TAKE OUT REVIEW: I ordered the house fried rice, crab Rangoon and general tsaos chicken. The house fried rice was a pretty good but definitely not the best that I have had. The flavor to the general tsaos chicken was definitely off and I wish it was crispier. The crab Rangoons tasted funky and also not crispy enough.

I hate to give bad reviews but BUGS in my food from Red Ginger has brought me here. I ordered cashew chicken for delivery and was on my third bite. It was delicious by the way, but not good enough to hide a beetle in my food. I'm sure they make other great dishes but that doesn't take away from the lack of hygiene and cleanliness. I'm scared to go back :(

Deeper, more complex flavors than most Chinese-American joints. The spare ribs have an authentic texture that you don't get at other places. It's still solidly American takeout food, but every order I've had is just a little more special than the usual. Good prices, reliable delivery. I'm very impressed by this spot.

Sorry but I have to give this place only 2 stars..... Jessica the waitress was very rude seemed like she was annoyed with us being there. We all ordered our food and it came out piece bye piece instead of all together so the kids were eating while we all just sat there then 2 of us got our food while others just sat there not ideal for having a family dinner. Then my husband gets all fat instead of boneless Sapir ribs was gross couldn't eat them he loved the chicken fried rice though. Low main noodles my 3 year old loved them. Stay far away from the general teso chicken was all batter no chicken at all I didn't eat it the white rice was so good and root beer was good. The chicken teriyaki was all fat as well needless to say we will never be returning to this restaurant but it was very clean and they took covid restrictions very Sirius and was cleaning constantly

We usually order food every Friday night...same food. It NEVER comes out right or it's cold or they send it to the wrong address. We brought it back and explained.NO greeting, NO apology for the screw up, and then tried to tell us we ordered it wrong (we ordered it on line with specific instructions). We try to support restaurants during these times but we will no longer support this one.

September 2020, I went with two other people to give Red Ginger another try. Third visit since the new management took ownership of the restaurant. These were my impressions:- Red Ginger had a nice list of Authentic Chinese dishes before, not now.- The new waitstaff and lady at the front are not very friendly nor knowledgeable. I asked for something regarding the menu and none of them knew the answer. They had to go inside the kitchen to ask the chef and it took like 5 full minutes for this....- The scallion pancakes had no scallion taste whatsover. Usually they come with a soy sauce dipping sauce, they are now giving you DUCK sauce for dipping sauce.- The Fish with Ginger and scallions does not come in a clay pot anymore, there's almost no ginger, 90% scallions. Taste was not as good as before either.- Pan fried noodles with roast pork was ok, but the pork was dry and bland. Not very good tasting.Very disappointed and that was probably my last visit. They had close to a year to keep the quality of the former food and kitchen and it is now focused on standard American Chinese fare, not Authentic.

Outstanding service from Ben. Very warm, friendly and attentive. I started with a hot jasmine tea. Then, MaPo Tofu, a dish with tofu, snow peas, carrot and mushrooms. The MaPo tofu could easily serve 2 people. The accompanying white rice got the spot.Yes Ginger is clean and safe during these times. I highly recommend it for delicious Chinese food in Johnston, RI
