Wonderful little bakery! I ordered a coffee milk cake for my fiancés 23rd birthday and it came out beautifully. The ordering process was straight forward and I love that I was able to place my order via email. The staff here was wonderful to work with. His cake was clearly baked and decorated with care; the owner and their staff definitely take pride in their work.My fiancé is a coffee milk fanatic and he loves the flavor of the cake. I’m not a RI native like he is so I’m not a huge fan of coffee milk, but the cake is still very enjoyable. I would eat it again and choose to do so. We also grabbed a little chocolate cream pie that was in the display case and it was delicious. I don’t like super sweet desserts so I could only have a couple bites of the pie but the flavor and texture was phenomenal.The cake is not overly sweet, but the frosting is sweet in my opinion (but it is cake so it SHOULD be sweet!). My fiancé doesn’t think it’s that sweet, but I’ve always preferred the actual cake part over the frosting while he can eat just the frosting on its own. The environment of the bakery was positive, and it was clean and nicely decorated. A huge plus for me is that this bakery is latex free, so I do not need to worry about having an allergic reaction while enjoying a treat! I will absolutely come back and order more cakes for events and birthdays.

Cupcake was beyond hard, woopie pie was overly sweet, and most of the desserts while I'm sure are fresh are extremely cold almost to the degree of being frozen. Coffee is extremely strong, no matter how much sugar I added it wouldn't get sweet; even when I brought it home and added more creamer AND chocolate cocoa powder to it, it was still overwhelmingly bitter. Customer service was excellent, but it's not the bakery for me.

I ordered a custom birthday cake for my best friend's 30th birthday and I could not be happier!! I sent my inspiration pictures to Kayla and we talked through some specific design elements we wanted and she totally blew it out of the water! She hit all the things I wanted and added some beautiful details beyond that. The birthday girl was absolutely blown away and I heard nothing but amazing compliments on the taste. There were decorations on all sides of the cake so no matter what angle you were looking from the cake looked fantastic. Thank you so so much!!!

I really wanted to love this place. As someone who lives closeby, I've frequented this bakery many times since they opened years ago. After many chances, I just don't think I can do it any more. The shop is small and sweet. Beautiful penmanship points you to the names of all the treats and sweets they offer. It is very quaint and cute. My issue is mainly with the service. In the very beginning, I do believe I was serviced by the owner/baker. She was fabulous. However, since then, there has been the same woman (older, red hair) behind the counter. I've noticed time after time that she will be courteous to whoever is in line before me, and the person after me, but short and or silent with me. No smiling face or kind words like she gives to other customers. Even with custom cake orders, I've noticed that she sounds chipper and kind over the phone, but the second I come in to the store and she sees my face, she is a little rude or unfriendly and it feels like she wants me out of there as soon as possible. Now I am not someone who needs smiles and kind words. I am fine with curt service, especially if it is busy. But to see how she acts with other customers, and how she acts with me, makes me wonder if maybe it is due to the color of my skin or something else. Either way, I do not feel welcomed in this bakery when she is behind the counter. I also feel that the cakes themselves are more buttercream than cake, but I know some people may enjoy that.

Brownie was hard and dry. Lemon square filling was gritty and really stiff. The apple pie hand pie was decent but not much filling, more crust . The apple pie filled cookie was also lacking enough filling although the cookie was tasty. Disappointing .
The food is delicious. I would share a photo but I ate it all already. I loved their sugar donuts

I go NOWHERE else whether I want a simple pecan square or a full on custom cake this is MY place for life .Phenomenal food (coffee is good too)Staff is beyond pleasant I call it my little field trip because it's a bit of a ride for me when I go on a whim. Visited after hearing how delicious their stuffed cookies were and was not disappointed. Got the peanut butter stuffed, Nutella stuffed and a banana stuffed. Also grabbed a blondie and a brownie. Ummmm~ yummmmmy. The man behind the counter was very pleasant and the shop was clean and quaint. Highly recommend!

First time July 14. Not impressed and won't be back. The strawberry and lemon macarons were flavorless, the turtle cupcake was dry, very little filling and the frosting was flavorless and had the texture and density of shortening. The brownies were dry. The peanut butter stuffed cookie was soft but the peanut butter taste was scant.The gingersnap cookie was decent.Very disappointing especially since their Google review was 4.5.

The cookies at Gingersnaps are so yummy! We had custom cookies made for our Disney Fairy Tale Wedding. We gave them as favors at my Bridal Shower & Bachelorette party and everyone loved them. My niece also loves the edible cookie dough!
