The fish tacos were great, the service was good, and the music was on point. However, soda was flat, and when mentioned, more flat soda was brought out. The real negative was the additional charges on a kid's meal for sour cream or ketchup. The waitress indicated that the kitchen requires they charge for everything. "House-made pickles," as they are listed on the menu, are actually "spicy pickles" It was fun for our four-year-old to find out...

The food was great! And service too! I had chips with salsa and guacamole on the side. My favorite taco was the bang bang shrimp and Tinga!

Everything was good to very good. But I walked in on someone using the bathroom, and figured they forgot to lock the door. And then when I was using the bathroom someone walked in on me. The door lock does not work. So I told a server. She said “oh ya we know about that”. Well THEN PUT UP A SIGN ON THE DOOR! Takes literally 1 minute. Better yet fix it!

I visited Oz Taco's on "Taco Tuesday", where most of the tacos were $2. My partner and I tried the Black Ant Margarita, the Squeaky Wheel, and the Twister Margarita. I liked the Twister Margarita the best, the cotton candy definitely made it sweeter but you can still tell you're having a margarita. We decided to just try tacos - but also try almost every taco on the menu,. My favorites were the baja fish and the chicken chipotle tinga. I could've just ordered the baja fish and been satisfied. My partner liked the hot fried chicken. I thought the crispy pork belly was okay - basically mini banh mi in a taco. The Korean fried cauliflower just tasted like gochujang. The bang bang shrimp could have had more sauce. Overall, all of the tacos were filling and we were satisfied in the end. Our waitress was also really nice. I'd definitely come back now that I know which tacos I like and maybe try one of their rice bowls.

Tacos were great. Part authentic and part contemporary. Good tortillas. Queso was nice. Service ok. tables are small and we felt really cramped. Tequila selection was ok but unimpressive for a place that has Tequila in its

Absolutely wonderful service each time I go. Staff are warm and knowledgeable, food is always good, music is perfect volume, and the drinks are delightful. The concept of an OZ themed spot is so nostalgic and fun. 10/10.Vegetarian options: I love that they always have a vegetarian option, the Korean Fried Cauliflower is my favorite taco right now.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to flood allergies.

Upon my initial anticipation of Oz's Tacos, I was met with an underwhelming reality. Despite assuming it to be named after the proprietor, a certain 'Oz,' the Wizard of Oz theme was more kitsch than captivating. The decor, albeit attempting a Wizard of Oz ambiance, was tacky at best. If one claims a Wizard of Oz theme, a bit more finesse in decoration wouldn't hurt, and can we please retire that cringe-worthy "Toto, I believe we're not in Mexico anymore" sign? If you're going wizard, commit to Oz.Now, about the acclaimed "Best Taco in Rhode Island" title on their website – a conspicuous absence of any accolades or signs except for a minuscule note by the hostess contradicted this grand claim. The stretch to assert they're the best in the state is laughable; perhaps they meant the best taco during a specific week, or best within their community, or possibly, best in the narrow strip mall they occupy.Moving on to the food – swift service isn't always a virtue, especially when it hints at pre-prepared, lackluster tacos. The rapidity left me suspecting that my meal had been languishing under a heat lamp. Despite a quick turnaround, the taste suffered, and the speed was unnerving. Our server, whose name escapes me, bombarded us with a litany of items not on the menu. Fresh menus were a luxury, and I had to swipe one from another table mid-use.To sum it up, this establishment is just mid and overpriced. I would probably have to be drunk before going.

Oz Taco is so bold. They have a brilliant menu and then have the courage to change it every few months. I always get sad when the menu changes, but they never miss on the new menu. They’re innovators and they’re doing wonderful work. There’s a reason this place won an award for the best taco in Rhode Island ?
