“My family and I vacation in Newport, Rhode Island each year. We enjoy breakfasts together during our trips and so we have tried several restaurants in the past, including the Franklin Spa. During our our visit this past week we noticed that the menu was different and there was a different vibe to the location. My suspicions were correct as we met Nick and Brittany, the new proprietors!! The food was great, lots of options and at a fair price. We enjoyed our breakfast so much that we returned the following morning to enjoy our last breakfast before returning to Philadelphia. If you are in Newport and in search of a place for Breakfast, I highly recommend the Franklin Spa. We look forward to returning in the future.“
“It was really busy so service was a little slow, especially when it came to getting the check or a refill of coffee. They only came around once during our meal. The pancakes were really fantastic, nice and light and fluffy but the blueberries tasted a little old. My eggs tasted fine but were a little undercooked, sausage was flavorful but I prefer my sausage with casing. The home fries were very tasty but there was an inconsistency in the temperature and texture . Some pieces super hot and soft , other colder and a little al dente. The scrambled eggs tasted fine but looked like I cooked them, which isn't a good thing. Why 4 stars , you may ask. The price was right. My wifes meal of two eggs , hash browns, meat and toast was under 7 dollars. My meal with two eggs , 3 sausages, hash browns and two pancakes was $10.50 . I also would come back here, because it very close to where I live. If you live close by this a good place for breakfast, when you don't feel like cooking .“
“OMG... Lived here in Middletown for 2 years and first time visiting IHOP! Don't know why I waited so long. Wife and I stopped in for a late evening dinner(breakfast) and everything was amazing. Ashley was our waitress; very attentive and took care of us. The kitchen staff absolutely crushed it! Had the Spicy Poblano Hollandaise.... ??? Wife the Thick and fluffy French toast with eggs and sausage and that was delicious as well. All in all, 10 out of 10 for everything! We'll be back soon!“
