I came across this place this past summer while in R.I. for beach day. This is a great waterside place to grab a bite.I sat out on the dock and enjoyed their lobster roll. It had lots of lobster meat and was very tasty. I also liked that I had the option to sub the side of fries for fresh cooked veggies for a small upcharge. ($2)I'd definitely come back again.

Great location but the food is too pricey for the quality.

I have loved and visited Jim's Dock for many years. The atmosphere is great. We love sitting outside with the dog. Staff is always friendly and efficient. And I love the BYOB!This year, I ordered the scallops that I've gotten in the past and have always been phenomenal. This time, they were just ok, and the rice pilaf was not cooked at all.The rest of my party said their food was good, but better in the past.We will definitely go back, and we're hoping this was just an off night.Definitely try it for yourself, it usually rocks!

Went to dog beach with the family and figured it be nice to get some take out we could walk and get for lunch. Got 2 lobster rolls, half dozen clam cakes and 2 cups of chowder. Couldn't believe the price when I went to pick it up. $108, absolutely outrages. Clam cakes were good but lobster rolls were cold, and bread was soggy. What a waste of money, never again. They must multiply the "market price" times 10 to get there market price

Food was really greasy and very expensive. We paid over $100 for two of us and there is NO alcohol. I do not mind paying for good food, this was not good. To me the grease was old and our food was over cooked. The mashed potatoes were brown.

Salmon on the harvest salad was great! Nice piece of salmon cooked perfectly. Was our first time at Jim's but definitely won't be the last.

Delicious food. Morgan, our server, did a great job. Very pleasant spot on the harbor. BYOB saved us $$.
Jim’s Dock is a causal harbor-side restaurant specializing in fresh seafood. They have a small indoor dining area and a very large deck that overlooks the docks and Snug Harbor. Their menu is seafood focused but there are also vegetarian and non-seafood options to cater to all tastes. It is a BYOB restaurant, which is great. It is a family friendly restaurant and if you have a large party I would recommend you make a reservation. 2023 marked their 51st year in business.Parking: Parking is usually available but cars are double parked. However, the hostesses do a great job taking note of which cars are blocked in and will notify people who need to move their car to let others out of the lot.Kid-friendliness: This is a great spot for kids. There’s a small beach for kids to play on next to each side of the dock, plenty of boats to look at and a great spot for them to chase and catch hermit crabs. There is a small kids menu and high chairs are available.

Supposed to be a fresh seafood restaurant. I have never had worse seafood in my 60 years. The other 5 people with us concur. We let our waitress know. She said she could only offer us something on the house. MORE BAD FOOD! We refused...

To go service was very slow for only ordering chowder & clamcakes and not being there at a busy time/weekday. Chowder is thick, but good. Would have preferred thin. Clamcakes had a decent amount of clams in them. Beautiful place to eat outside on their deck as BI ferry and fishing boats go right by there! BYOB and looked like reservations would be a good idea!Parking: Plenty of spots left on street when we got there, but restaurant was no where near full at that time.

Jim's Dock is a wonderful place to go on a nice summer day. It is near a fee boat docks and overlooks Point Judith where the Block Island ferry docks. The food was delicious. I had the fish and chips. The fish was fresh and lightly fried. The potion was large. My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos. They were also fresh and delicious! Service was wonderful!
